Michelle Willow's Online Adventure
Other than that, I really like willows... They are quite mystical, quiet and resistant. There are many myths and legends that give strange powers to willows. There is always some willow in horror movie whose leaves whisper in the night!
Bending tenderly with the wind, the willow is symbolic of feminine energy and loving kindness.

- I love Willow for a name, my friend named her baby girl "Willow" and I love it ever since. I didn't realize that the ancient tree in the Harry Potter movie is called "whomping willow". This is a great lens and you have great collection of lenses too.

- I have spent many years enjoying watching the English game of cricket. When I lived in Australia, I used to travel to the Melbourne Cricket Ground every Boxing Day (Dec 26th) to watch the test match. I loved the sound of the leather ball on the willow bat!
A great lens, Michelle. Thumbs up, a favourite and lensrolled to my lensography.

- Ever since I was nine years old and there was a weeping willow tree just outside my bedroom window, I have adored willow trees. Now, there are scads of weeping willows all around me in Western Mass., where Colonialists in Boston called settlers here "swamp yankees." Kind of tells you why willows would be prevalent. SquidAngel Blessed. Creative lensography!

- I do love Willows. I always have. As soon as I bought my house I planted a Corkscrew Willow in my back yard so I could see it out of my kitchen window. There is something about them that I have always loved. Great lens!

- It took me a bit to discover tis was a lensography. Great job. There's a lot I will want to read since my husband's mother was Croatian. His dad was a Serb, so you can see what an uphill battle my-mother-in law had with her in-laws, LOL, except it wasn't always funny.

Spotlighting The Best of Squidoo!
Grandma's Willow Tree
Author/Written By: Marilyn Ferguson

Looking back and reminiscing
The way things used to be
I recall a little girl of nine
Climbing Grandma's willow tree.
Back into the country
Some quarter century ago
Running barefoot across the yard
Into the tree I'd go.
Its branches held a sweet retreat
I'd ascend when in dismay
Oh, the hours I spent in the tree
To lose myself in play.
The tree was close to perfect
Its willows touched the ground
Greenery hung like a curtain
And completely draped around.
The days I spent under its beckoning boughs
And moments it saw me through
Cherished times in a young girl's life
That years cannot undo.
What I'd give to go back again
To those untarnished years in time
To the fancies of a pigtailed girl
And the tree she left behind.
To be that little tomboy
With jeans rolled to the knee
To dream the dreams that she once dreamed
In Grandma's willow tree.
