How to Win at Online Poker

If you want to know how to win at online poker, it's easy: just follow this simple guide!

Playing sit-and-go tournaments is the best way to give yourself a very good chance of turning a profit at online poker, and the good news is that all it takes is a little poker knowledge and the ability to stick to a fairly straightforward plan.

I could tell you in my own words how to proceed, but why not learn from the originator of the best guide around? He taught me, and I started winning straight away - I was, in fact, a bit surprised at my success, but that's how you win at any form of poker i.e. by trying the methods of winning players.

Anyway, the link to the best sit-and-go strategy guide around is at:

http://www.pokerlistings.com/ultimate-guide-longhanded-sitandgo-tournament-5881

Pokerlistings is probably the most comprehensive website for the online poker player, and a good source of articles to help improve your play.

If you really want to win at online poker, you need to keep reading and thinking about the game, but this applies less to sit-and-go tournaments, where your heads-up strategy is probably what you will need to concentrate on more than anything.

Here's 7 good reasons why I recommend playing sit-and-go tourneys if you want to beat the online game:

1. Always a game available, unlike multi-table tourneys, where you have to wait for the right game to come along, or cash games where you usually have to wait for an opening at a 'good' table.

2. Start with a small bankroll and buy-ins and move up the levels as you improve.

3. Losses per session always limited, unlike cash games, where a large buy-in is usually better (hence a larger possible loss), and multi-table tournaments which offer rebuys.

4. Winning strategy easy to implement.

5. Less studying to do!

6. Encounter players you have played against before more regularly than at MTTs and cash games, and use to your advantage.

7. Session time limited, usually about an hour or so. Enables you to fit poker around your life instead of vice-versa.

So there you go - go and sit-and-go, and WIN AT ONLINE POKER!

Best Poker Sites

All of the sites listed below are well established and reliable

For your convenience I've included a list of decent poker rooms - but I recommend you don't download any poker site until you've found the best bonus for that site - which you'll find in forums or by doing a search.

And if you don't have a bankroll, again, join some poker forums or do a search for "no deposit bonus" or "free $*". Or just play in some of the private freerolls you'll be invited to, and build up your bankroll that way.

I really agree with #7. Session time limited, usually about an hour or so. Enables you to fit poker around your life instead of vice-versa.

I was a little addicted and it got out of hand. Any game that has intermittent reinforcement can be extremely addicting. You can easily hit huge streaks and want to keep playing when you should be tending to other things.

Texas holdem poker has the popularity well. Patrons need to believe on the skills and on luck whenever they play.

Thanks.
