Oh The Beauty And Sound Of A Wind Chime!
My flower garden wouldn't be mine and reflect my personality without a few wind chimes! Call me a romantic if you wish, but I savor the melancholy feeling I get when I step outside (especially in the dark) and can hear the soft whisper of a windchime.
I love windchimes so much that I also have them inside my home.
With so many cheap wind chimes available, everyone can enjoy the relaxing ambiance they so often give, but if you do choose a lower priced wind chime, be prepared to replace it yearly.
The wind chimes I've presented at the top of this page are the very best of quality, and hand tuned to perfection; you could play a tune yourself by striking each tube like the keys on a piano.
The difference between a quality windchime and a cheap windchime is how the tubes are strung.
A single string running down the middle of the tube signifies a quality wind chime.
If the strings that hold the tubes are thread through each side of the tube, that signifies a cheaper, lower priced wind chime, stringing the tubes that way interferes with the music of the wind chime.
I Love Wind Chimes!
The above photo is a personal wind chime of mine. It started out as a funky hanging decoration with faux crystal. In the middle I attached a pewter wind chime that also had a couple of faux crystals. Then I attached 4 real crystals, and a silver angel at the bottom. It hangs in my house throughout the year. I love it when the morning sun hits the crystals from my kitchen/dining room window (below pic).
I'm sitting right under that dirty ceiling fan right this moment on my computer creating this lens with this wind chime behind me! My dining room table is under the ceiling fan, (boy does it need cleaning or what?) and that's where my computer is. The brass wind chime in this photo was made for me by my friend Penny. It will hang throughout the year in my house also. I've attached ribbons to the bottom of it, so when my three dogs pass by it 'plays' it's beautiful music.
This wind chime goes outside during the summer, and was a gift from my sister, purchased at Bellingrath Gardens in Alabama, where she lives. It's beautiful, with inserted glass and glass balls. I've attached ribbons to the bottom of it also, and I hear my wind chimes frequently, especially when my kitty decides to get ornery.
