Windmills For Home Use - Commercial or DIY?
You know what I'm going to say... "Why buy when you can DIY?" well,... now you know.Commercial units are nice, but you can diy 4 windmills for the cost of one commercial windmill. It just doesn't make sense, especially if you know what your doing you can get better output from the windmills you made. You can build them to the specs YOU need, and not have to rely on a choice.

Windmills For Home - Consider Location
One of the most important considerations for windmills is location. You need a location clear of obstacles, so you can catch the most wind. You want your windmill spinning, not sitting still in dead air. Most of the guides I've read say 20' above the closest obstacle, but I've had success 12' off the ground. It really just depends on the wind patterns in your area.The most important thing about windmill power for your home is to get started.
