Windows 7 Release Candidate is already out.

Windows 7 is the latest version of the Microsoft Windows. It is cooler, more stable and has more features unlike its predecessor, Windows Vista which disappointed many people as it is very heavy on computer resources.

This version of Windows is even faster than XP (atleast in my experience),
so its worth a try.

About Windows 7 RC

After receiving great feedback from people when the Beta version of Windows 7 was released, Microsoft has released its Release Candidate version on May 5, 2009 to the public after fixing many bugs.

Everyone can easily download Windows 7 Release Candidate Build 7100 from the Microsoft website for free.

The RC version will expire on June 1, 2010.

As announced by Microsoft, Windows 7 is expected to hit the market on October 22, 2009.

Below are some of the new features of Windows 7 :

Compatibility Problems? XP Mode is here

One of the coolest feature of Windows 7 is the XP Mode.
So if you cannot run old applications or cannot install device drivers which are designed for Windows XP,
XP Mode will solve all your problems.
But in order to use this feature you will have to turn on Hardware Virtualization feature in the BIOS.
Also, you need to have 2GB basic hard disk space for installing Windows XP Mode and an
additional 15GB of hard disk space for the Virtual Windows Environment.
