Windscreen time!

Next stop: Yates Windscreens at Belmont.

We couldn't drive it there because it didn't have a windscreen. Not sure if that's illegal or not but one would probably need a motorcycle helmet to avoid facial collisions with bugs and other airborne debris.

Al from Newcastle Auto Dismantlers drove it over on the back of their truck.

Waiting for the arrival of the Mighty Boy

The calm before the storm...

While waiting I took a few shots around the workshop so you could get a feel for what it's like at a Windscreen business.

Windscreen repair

I advise to only use these as a temporary measure while you're waiting to get to your windscreen specialist.

The arrival of the Mighty Boy

Probably the quickest and most painless step of what feels like a 1000 mile journey.

But then again, they are trained professionals.

What took them five minutes would have taken me a couple of hours and then I would probably have made a mess with that black glue stuff all over the new paintwork.

Last photo: The crew at Yates Windscreens at Belmont. They also have an outlet on the Central Coast. Check out the guy on the left, the more I looked at him the more he reminded me of Johnny Knoxville.

What do you think so far? Be kind as I'd hate to hurt the little Mighty Boy's feelings.

Ah .... I was thinking, what the heck is a windscreen? Oh, a windshield! I'm Canadian eh! Well Glen, she's looking better all the time. Can't wait to see the tires you put on her! Take care, Fran.
