Wind power has always been interesting to me. Growing up on a farm, windmills that pumped water for the animals were in every pasture. I understood the concept.     I live in a very rural area and have built a diy wind turbine in my backyard. It's not overly big, but it generates enough power to cut my electric bills in half. Definitely worth it and I have already seen a return on the investment. If you can do it and have the room, go for it.
