In general there is white wine and red wine, but inside those broad types, you find many different types of wine. The best way to differentiate between the types of wine is by wine regions. Inside each wine region, a certain wine will predominate. Historically, wine regions would specialize in a particular type of grape. You can find out more about wine regions and types of wine in a wine dictionary.
When it comes to grading wine, there are several factors that come into play. Of course the type of wine will affect the wine grading, but other factors are equally important. The climate is hugely important because the weather will affect the sugar content as well as the flavor of the grape used for making wine. Another factor affecting grading wine is the skill of the winemaker. You can find out about these factors in a wine dictionary.

When it comes to storing wine, a wine cellar is the best place to store it. To preserve the quality of the wine, you should be storing wine in a cool, dark place. Remember when storing wine that some vintage wines store well, while less expensive wines do not handle long term storage as well.
Wine is an art, but it's an art we can appreciate and we experience that when we are serving wine. Food and wine can go hand in hand. In fact, some wines are better with some foods than others. For example, BBQ Beef goes particularly well with a White Zinfandel while Pasta with Cream Sauce goes particularly well with a fine Pinot Noir. When looking at the right food and wine pairing, remember that the flavors should work together.
When it all it comes together, whether you choose a red wine or a white wine, you will feel the art that comes with the impressive cultural beverage that is wine.
