Wine Lovers Guide

When there's an occasion, a promotion, a wedding, a family dinner, a moment to celebrate, wine lovers accentuate the festivities with, what else, a lively spirit: wine. We toast to the moment, share the good will, achievement, and happiness with others, and of course the wine. Somehow, someone is always ready to corkscrew the spirit out and share it.

However, the image that wine has in the minds of many alienates it enough that, and until now, many non wine lovers refuse to sample its wonders.

This lens shares the wonders of wine and the differences in each and every one!

So Cheers! Enjoy!

Red Wine - A Joy To Taste and Enjoy

Red, Red Wine....

Red wine is often vigorously defended by wine lovers and there are many medical studies that highlight its ability to protect the human heart due to its antioxidant content.

Red wines, made from grape skins, give the deepest, boldest flavors. The more time the wine is in contact with grape skin, the deeper the red color sets in, the bolder its taste becomes.

Common varieties of Red Wine include Pinot Noir, Gamay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel are the common ones.

White Wine

White wines tends to be the first type of wine that new wine drinkers try. Maybe this is because of the delicate aroma, delicate flavor, but mostly because of this non overpowering flavor.

White wine is made without grape skins and gives off a sweet, mild taste. White wines can be made from red and white grapes so long as contact with the skin is avoided.

Popular white wines include Chardonnay, Risling, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Sparkling Wine

not, it's not necessarily Champagne

Red and White Wines can sparkle and bubble. These wines are the popular choices for important occasions, earning them the association with kingly wines.

Sparkling Wine is the outcome of a quite tedious wine-making process (and that's why it's prized). The results are quite amazing and a good sparkling wine is a true delight to taste.

Sparkling White Wine is often referred to as Champagne, but this is not necessarily correct.

Champagne is a sparkling white wine, but it is produced from the Champagne region in France. The producers of Champagne carefully guard the right to use the name Champagne on a bottle. There are a number of treaties world wide that enforce this right.

Any other sparkling wine made outside of Champagne in France, is more correctly called a Sparkling Wine.
