Winter
Winter is one of the four seasons of temperate zones. In many countries, winter officially begins on the day of the year which has fewest hours of daylight, the winter solstice, and ends on the following equinox. From a meteorological perspective, winter is the season with the shortest days and the lowest average temperatures. It has colder weather and, especially in the higher latitudes or altitudes, snow and ice. The coldest average temperatures of the season are typically experienced in January in the Northern Hemisphere and in June or July in the Southern Hemisphere.

6 Things Your Family Can Do (Inside) In Winter.
- Make popcorn, snuggle under a blanket and watch a movie.
- Cook (and eat) something together.
- Exercise. Do some sit ups, jumping jacks and jog in place.
- Start seeds in a paper cup.
- Play cards.
- Put on some music and have a dance contest. Keep changing the music and dance in what ever style comes on.
