About the Wireless Rechargeable Mouse
Why would you consider a wireless rechargeable mouse? Maybe because it eliminates the tether. It makes your desk more organized and gives you one less wire/cable to transport and connect. In addition, since they are either optical or laser, you won't have to bother with a mousepad and you'll get more precise, smoother and faster movement as well.
On this page we will provide some tips for choosing the right wireless mouse and show you some popular models to consider. You can even see some video reviews to get a closer look.

Choosing a Wireless Rechargeable Mouse
You'll want the mouse to fit comfortably in your hand. Some people prefer or need a larger mouse, others want something smaller. A mouse that is designated for notebooks tends to be the smallest offered since they need to be very portable. Of course, you also need to know if the mouse is intended for use with either hand or if it's designed specifically for the right hand.
The mouse you choose will need to be compatible with your computer/OS in order to function.
Whether a mouse is laser or optical, it is generally lighter weight than the old trackball type of mouse and both are precise. The optical mouse tends to be a bit less expensive and the laser mouse tends to offer somewhat smoother, more precise movement. A laser mouse also tends to operate more easily on "extreme" surfaces such as glass. A high dpi (dots per inch) will be an indication of it's ability to operate at a higher speed and with greater precision.
You'll also want to know more about the batteries for your wireless rechargeable mouse. AAA batteries are easy to replace and you often keep them on hand anyway. They're also affordable. Lithium ion batteries tend to have a longer life and often come with a dock to make charging easy. Some of these wireless rechargeable devices allow you to charge even while the mouse is in operation. You'll want to know how the mouse charges, in a dock, connected to your computer, or by removing the batteries to charge. Certainly a battery that requires charging less often will be more convenient. A mouse with a battery status indicator can also save you a lot of grief as it keeps you well informed of the need to charge.
You'll want to think about what kind of control you want. A wireless mouse may offer 2 buttons, 3, or even 5. They may allow left to right scrolling or, in some cases, four way scrolling for left to right and up and down scrolling as well. Forward and backward buttons certainly offer greater control too. Some also give you customizable buttons that allow you to set it up to switch between windows for instance.
Bluetooth and RF (radio frequency) are the primary wireless technologies. If you get a Bluetooth mouse, you will need a Bluetooth capable computer. RF offers great range (30 ft or so). Some of these devices offer both.
If the intended use for the mouse will be gaming, you'll want a mouse designed for this purpose. If you'll be using it mostly to travel you'll want it to be highly portable; some of these come with a mini receiver that remains connected to your laptop for easy transport. If you'll use it primarily for presentations, some have functions that work well with PowerPoint. Always consider any special function you need the mouse to have.
