We no longer have to miss out on incoming phone calls, as DSL and high-speed cable connections aren't made with Dial-Up's downsides. To even raise the bar, wireless internet services are now even being offered by internet service providers, truly defining a world of web surfing convenience and comfort.
The hassles of the 1990s stayed there, as users could easily go online without the hassles of yesterday.
I, personally, wouldn't be surprised if you're living your own wireless internet nirvana as you're reading this.
If you don't see this going on, drop by a WiFi Hotspot. What you'll see will amaze you. A WiFi Hotspot is pretty much a venue which offers a wireless internet signals to those with the devices designed to work wirelessly.
Think of a WiFi Hotspot as a hub, where one could bring one's portable computer, turn it on, connect, and go online. That simple. Typically, coffee shops and airports are de facto WiFi Hotspots.
The sight of people in coffee shops, sipping their cups while surfing the net is getting more and more common nowadays, with some of these people actually getting some work done. Was this prevalent during the 1990s? Well, no, of course, considering wireless internet services was still being developed by then, and not offered to the general populace.
If you think the sight of a WiFi Hotspot is amazing in itself, there's a sight even much more amazing: wireless internet at home.
Personally, I prefer the quiet of my own home when talking about going online and working. With wireless internet services, I could just about work anywhere at home, without having to feel constrained by network cables and such.
A WiFi Hotspot, such as coffee shops, which are now known to offer wireless internet as a standard, may be great, but nothing beats working in one's own space, away from the hubbub of outside factors.
Indeed, just when we thought the internet couldn't get any better, wireless internet came to be. If you still aren't sold out with wireless internet, even after reading this, there is seriously something wrong with you. Imagine: surf in your room. Surf upstairs. Surf on the porch. Wireless freedom. How could you not like that?
