Wireless Video Security Camera
I want to install a wireless video security camera to help stop the shoplifting in my gift shop. I don't want the usual home security cameras, but I want something that is big and obvious so everyone in the place knows they are being watched at all times. If you've ever seen those big mirrored sphere cameras at some of the bigger stores, that's the kind of wireless video cameras that I want. You never know which way the camera is pointing so you can't wait until it turns away to start pocketing stuff. The goal is to make people think they're being watched every second that they are in my store so the theft stops. Plus with the wireless video security cameras I can keep an eye on things from home too. Why do people think stealing is ok anyway? I just don't get people sometimes.

Can I use a network DVR in an area with public Wifi and keep it secure? I'd like to add a wireless video security camera that I found on this website to my small independent bookstore that offers a reading area and has free wifi available for customers. I'm just afraid that if I run the network wireless video camera over the wireless network that some of the people who come in will be able to hack into it. Should I get a wired home security camera system instead and keep it completely off the network or am I being paranoid? I do know some about wireless video security cameras but I don't know everything. So if you have some experience and know something I don't feel free to drop me a note.
-------------------------------------------------
I'd like to add a wireless video camera to monitor my garage and pool, which is a little further away from my house. Does anyone have any recommendations? Plus is there a difference between that and a wireless video security camera, or are they the same thing?
I would prefer to hear from someone who actually owns a wireless video security camera or at least uses one a lot, but any input would really help. Thanks!
