Care To Make A Wish?

Ever wish you had an extra $50 so you could buy a really fancy bottle of wine? Or perhaps you've wished for $5000, for a new LCD big-screen TV? Are you a little bit creative and good at putting a few sentences together? Well, my friend, Wish and Vote could be just what you're looking for!

What Is It?

Wish and Vote is a website that offers people the opportunity to make a wish for a specific amount of money - anywhere from $5 up to $5000. So how does it work? You register as a member, pick the amount of money you wish for, and write a short description (150 characters or less) of what you'd do with the money if your wish was granted.

That takes care of the wishing part. Then comes the voting. Your wish will be grouped with a bunch of other wishes for the same amount, submitted by other members. Then, voting begins! All other members can vote on which wish description they think is most deserving of the cash. When the voting closes, the wisher with the most votes has their wish granted!

So They Give Out Free Money?!?

Well, no, they don't. Wishing will cost you, but it won't cost you a lot. A $20 wish will set you back $1, where as a $5000 wish will set you back $19.50 (accurate at the time of publishing - this is subject to change at any time, so double check before wishing!) This isn't a charity - it's more like a community initiative. Think about it like this: if you win, all the other wishers competing against you have contributed to granting your wish. And if you don't win, then you've just helped someone else's wish come true. Feeling pretty good about yourself now, aren't you?

Is this YOUR wish?

So How Much Will It Cost Me Then?

That's up to you. Signing up is free, and you only pay for as many wishes as you decide to make. You might decide to make one wish per week, or one wish per month. Or, you could even make one big wish, then never wish again. How much you spend is completely in your control - which is exactly how it should be, I say.

It Kinda Sounds Like Fun!

I know, doesn't it! And it's also really easy. You are paid your winnings via PayPal, so it's completely safe and you never have to give out any contact information (other than your email address.) So what are you still doing here then??

Go and make a wish!

What is Your Wish?

Tell us what you would do with $500.

First, I would spend $100 and go out to eat with my family and my best friend at a local Basque restaraunt named Epi's. I would spend another $100 on running shoes, socks, and a pair of running shorts so I could start running. And the last $300 I would save for college as I want to be the first person in my family to go to college.
