Are you interested in creating an authentic looking wizard costume? We constantly search the 'net to find some of the very best wizard wear resources.

We then update the resource page but we also post the latest news to our Wizard Wear Blog. This is an interactive blog as opposed to the site blog, which simply posts any and all site updates.

Since Hobbie's House of Wizard Wear opened its doors in December 2002, we continue to receive countless requests from wizard fans for high quality costume pieces, props and accessories. With the expert input of some incredibly talented costumers, and our own custom design experience, we have put together a collection of the very best wizard wear resources to help you create an authentic looking wizard costume.

At Hobbie's, we specialize in custom-made knitwear for Wizard School enthusiasts such as scarves, sweaters, sports sweaters with matching knee socks, cardigans and more for wizarding students of all ages.

Hobbie's wizard wear includes two, custom-made versions of the Wizard School cardigan: the "PoA" and "OOTP" styles but if you prefer to knit your own, we provide the knitting patterns for both styles, ready for immediate download.

We also re-create custom knitwear for other costuming purposes such as school plays. In fact, if you are you a "RentHead", our most popular non-wizarding item of knitwear is the "RENT" sweater and scarf.

Scribbled on the back pages of our Big Book of Spells, we keep an ever growing list of web sites where you can find fabulous, high quality costume props, accessories, costuming ideas and even tutorials for making your own wizard school uniform.

In fact, fellow lensmaster Daoine has created tutorials for wizard robes, badges, task jerseys, and various other instructions to make all the required wizarding accessories.

We don't just draft new knitting patterns - we are busy knitting the corresponding sample sweaters.

During the first few months of 2008, we have been re-structuring Hobbie's House to consolidate all available wizard wear resources and information.

We've posted new knitting patterns in sizes for children and adults, to include a Medium size pattern for the OOTP cardigan and the Sports Team Sweater.

Don't let the download forms bother you. It is much easier to create a .PDF document which can easily be downloaded by any visitor. The alternative is a slow loading website page.

Ladies 44 Wizard Wear "PoA" Style Cardigan [$4.99]

Turn a plain grey cardi into wizard wear! The Ladies 44 knitting pattern [in PDF file format] contains 8 pages of detailed knitting instructions with hints, tips and color selections. Included are diagrams for each piece [the back, a front, a sleeve and the vertical button band. The diagrams give stitch and row counts as well as measurements.

Where possible, we have worked closely with these various wizard related resources to ensure that our knitwear coordinates, colorwise, to the other costume components.
