Wolfenstein 3D's Lens
Intentionally, I am building the Wolfenstein 3D's Lenses to Support Anti-wars Actions for peaceful world. However, these are only small efforts am taking to spread the word about Wolfenstein 3D's Lenses Projects. "If the sky that we look upon, should tumble and fall over the mountain, should tumble to the sea, I won't cry, no I won't shed a tear, just as long as you stand by me!"
Really, out of the legendary song of Ben King; I am calling all nice people to Stand By Me while calling: "P Stands for P", which in turn means all the echo of poetry I am publishing at the Squadron of Poets Group. The Squadron of Poets Group itself and the Wolfenstein 3D's Lenses are all working collectively here at squidoo.com and in my CafePress' new project. Therefore, this is a flight to collaborative networks to maintain the grassroots level of this foundation. Are you with me? If not, will you Stand by Me!
So, Wolfenstein 3D's Lenses are well connected to that group and they stand for strong cause! It is my cause and it's yours too. So, let us connect the lines and target our efforts together.
Wolfenstein 3D's Lenses
for People to Stand for Peace
Wolfenstein 3D is created by ID Software, an American computer game developer based in Mesquite, Texas, suburb of Dallas. ID Software has developed Wolfenstein 3D, which abbreviated to Wolf 3D in May 5, 1992 for MS-DOS. Apogee Software published it then. This is another computer game publisher and developer established in 1987 in Garland, Texas.Wolfenstein 3D was inspired in the 1980s by Muse Software computer games Castle Wolfenstein and Beyond Castle Wolfenstein. Muse Software was founded in 1978. The company closed down in 1987 and several years later, ID Software obtained licence to use the name Castle Wolfenstein for their new game.
The game has been used in variety of systems, including 3DO Interactive Multiplayer, Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SUPER NES), Game Boy Advance, Acom Archimedes, Atari Jaguar and Apple IIGS. ACOM Acorn Archimedes is a British computer company established in Cambridge in 1978.
Why I Need to Play Games Sometimes?
I Play Games to Shoot Depression
I am addicted to playing some games like Wolfenstein 3D to solve the bad feeling of the day sometimes. I have learned from this simple behaviour many useful things. One of those things is very important. Playing those computer and video games solves my stress and depression. I actually shoot my depression when I play those games instead of shooting myself. This is a very useful lesson. I hope it will encourage you to do some practices too to fire your depressions away every time you feel yourself at that dark zone.
Wolfenstein 3D's Invasion and Retreat Tactics
Use Mao-Tse-Tung's Tactics
These are better tactics to follow when playing Wolfenstein 3D. I hope you find them useful. If you have more tactics, use the comments form below to bring them in. And please remember to join my fan club and show me stars by rating;-)Always use Mao-Tse-Tung's tactics when you face lot of enemies. Strike hard and escape as quickly as possible to perplex the enemies. When you open a door, do not stand there on the entrance to face fires from the enemies. Open the door and then retreat fast. In most cases, you will hear a warning that the enemies' guards already occupy the area and they recognized you as invading enemy. If you do not hear the voice-alarm, use the up and down arrows to discover how many of the enemies are there.
When you retreat do not retreat steady backwards, instead retreat back to the left or to the right by pressing the back and (left or right) arrows. This tactic enables you to take good position ready to shoot any enemy when he gets out.

When you found yourself in front of enemies with advanced weapons, do not shoot them standing on their faces, instead shoot while you are retreating a distance from them.
Do not face and shoot many enemies in a location unless you have good weapons and good health. Even with good weapons and good health, it is better to attract them out one by one from their locations.
When you attract them out of their locations stand a distance far from the door to the left or the right.
Shoot the first one that appears at the door exactly to keep the door open. This enables you to see how many enemies remain inside and use tactics to invade or attract them out.
When you invade a location, search for secret doors on the walls using the up arrow and space.
Easy, Don't Rush, Explore
and Fill Yourself Ammunitions and Medicine
When you found a secret door, expect enemies hidden there. Therefore, do not rush to enter. Use the up (forward) and back (down) arrows to discover if there are enemies there inside the secret location. When you found the machinegun do not take it if your bullets rate is at 99 only. It sends more bullets when you shoot, so you will lose more of your bullets and found yourself with none to face other enemies. Always upgrade your pistol to the second advanced weapon and play with it for long time as you could.
Do not face enemies if ...
Do not face enemies with missiles without a heavy weapon. However, always hide yourself behind pricks or doors to some levels to shoot them when they are at sight. If there is a hidden location, you have opened before near the targeted location, withdraw to it and face the entrance to hunt the enemy one by one. Chances are that they will pass it without noticing it until you shoot the first one or couple.Do not face an enemy if you ran out of bullets and missiles. Your army knife will not heart them all and they will finish you before you did. Instead, search for ammunition. However, you can face one-two soldiers with your army knife only if your health is good, (e.g. above 70%)
It is a good idea not to face enemies occupied with heavy weapons either if your health dropped under 20%. However, you can face a soldier in this situation only if you consider that you can shoot first from a good position.
Well, using the arrows and other elements on your keyboard is something to consider checking when you open your games folder. You can arrange this process from the unzipped files when you click on them to play. The screen will display all the features before you start playing. Use the arrows to scroll to where you read "Control". Scroll to "Customize Controls" and "Key" and then to "Board" where you can arrange the usage of your arrows.
Wolfenstein 3D
Operation Letzterschutz
One of the most interesting Wolfenstein games Majik Monkee has produced is the "Operation Letzterschutz". It is a Monkee Work Software Production. The entire environment is beautiful. This game is difficult for beginners. However, playing it without having to go through the guidelines is a pleasure only if beginners are interesting in discovery. There are some new developments to the traditional Wolfenstein 3D in "Operation Letzterschutz" which come in six episodes, including four different difficulty settings. However, through the difficulty setting you can determine the strength and number of enemies you will face.
The difficulty settings include as the developer describes them:
Chicken - This setting is strictly for newbies and people who are afraid of the toilet. Challenge is minimal, as there are very few enemies, and the ones that you will face have very low hit points. This is not a suitable challenge for serious gamers.
Average Joe - A little bit tougher than "chicken" mode, but not by much. The enemies can take more damage, but their location and number is the same. This difficulty still won't present much of a challenge for people who are experienced first person shooter fans.
One Man Army - This setting most accurately reflects the level of challenge "Operation: Letzterschutz" is meant to have. The enemy count is much higher than in the first two settings, and bosses and standard enemies can take more hits before going down. This setting is best preferred setting for folks who have had some experience in the world of Wolfenstein.
Total Maniac - There are many enemies in this setting (the same as in "One Man Army"), but they take the most damage of any difficulty level. You will need to look for health and ammo more than ever to stay alive on this setting. There is a suitable challenge for seasoned Wolfers who find the other settings to be too easy.
Why did I Make the Add-ons to Wolfenstein 3D?
In 1992, the gaming industry was turned upside down by the release of one of the first and best known first-person-shooter games ever, Wolfenstein 3D. The game was revolutionary for it's time, and was responsible for ushering in a whole new genre of gameplay, the era of the first-person-shooters. I first encountered it during college back in 1993, when I discovered the shareware version of it on a friend's computer. From the initial escape from the cell on the first floor, to the climactic battle with the gigantic Hans Grosse, I was hooked, and would remain so for years to come.
There were many who remained faithful Wolfenstein fans for the many long years after the game came out. Sad to say, I wasn't one of the faithful ones. Like many other people, I moved on to more advanced FPS games as the engines got more complex, and quickly forgot about my roots and my initial love of Wolf3D. Luckily for me, there came a point when my crappy eight year old PC wouldn't handle newer games anymore, and stopped running the ones it run just fine initially, casting me into a funk where I played no FPS games for a long time, and thought little about them for several years.
In late 2002, I had progressed to writing reviews for outdated NES and SNES games that I still had a love for, because the ROM craze was in full swing around this time. Some of my more negative reviews were discovered by a publication that made a living trashing just about everything it could find, and I was recruited to become a writer of biting reviews of not just video games, but anything else that I found worthy of a cheap shot.
It was about this time that I came across a negative review the publication had made years back about the atrocious SNES conversion of Wolf3D. I realized the review wasn't very in depth, and I hated that conversion so much that I decided to do a more elaborate piece on it. It was during this time that I came across AReyeP's homepage and "Spear Resurrection" for the first time.
In my current state of bitterness when I first read the storyline for SR (clones made of crap?), I thought it was a prime target for a slanderous and degrading review. However, like all good journalists, I decided to make sure I knew my material first before writing the review. I downloaded the game and gave it a whirl. Little did I know just what it was that I was up against.
My first thought was "What the...THIS is Wolfenstein? No way...it's too good to be Wolfenstein!" It only took me a matter of hours to start doing more research on the web and to stumble across the Dome and Mr Lowe's old homepage. When I saw some of the other great mods out there, I knew I was hooked. My negativity vanished, and the old love I once had for the original Wolfenstein returned with a vengeance...I was hooked all over again!
Since then, with the help of a LOT of talented people, I've done a total of three mods: Halls of Stonehenge, HOS: Special Edition, and Operation: Hundscheisse (released under my brother Dumscheissekopf's name, because it was his initial idea). While there has been positive response to most of those mods, I always felt like something was missing from my contribution to the Wolfenstein mod scene. My greatest achievement chronicled the story of BJ fighting lunatic Nazi fanatics alongside zombies and monsters...I love HOS, but it wasn't quite the mod I wanted to be known for.
Ever since I first played some of the great historically accurate type mods out there, I've always wanted to do one of my own...one that would make people say, "Yeah...this could happen". My vision for this mod is that it be one that people feel could actually be a legitimate chapter of the original Wolfenstein saga (I know there are those out there with whom HOS just doesn't quite feel right). When designing the story, characters, and locations for the game, I tried hard to make sure that they all had a grain of historical realism to them whenever possible. Sure, there's some fanciful stuff in the game, but for the most part, it could all have happened (I think!).
So, that having been said, I hope you enjoy this game, and that it feels like what it was intended to be: not another arbitrarily thrown together shoot em' up, but a solid and enjoyable continuation of the great and classic original Wolfenstein. Whether or not it achieves that is, of course, up to you...the player :)
Wolfenstein 3D!
Some Problems in "Operation Letzterschutz"!
OL was designed to be as "glitch free" as possible. Of course, nobody is perfect, and neither is any program I know of, so here are the known problems with OL.
Display Issues - Every now and then, when you die and the game restarts, the screen will have shrunken by one size, and the border will be flashing red. This is not the first Wolf mod I have seen that does this, and I am not sure if there is any way to correct it permanently (it does not happen all the time). To fix it, simply resize your screen, and it will return to normal.
Sound Issues - Sometimes, when multiple enemies spot you at once, the sound will cut out after they shout out their warnings. This is easily fixed by going into the sound menu and selecting "no sound", then immediately reselecting your original sound source. The problem also occurs occasionally with the use of certain special weapons, resulting in silence from either the weapon or enemies you defeat. Again, this problem is not unique to OL, but for those of you less familiar with the Wolfenstein engine, I am including this solution here.
Other Issues - I do not know of any other problems currently. If your PC does not want to run OL, check out some of the troubleshooting tips on the web for running Wolfenstein 3D in general. I do not really want to get into all of that here. Wolfenstein does not seem to like Windows, so try running it in DOS mode if you are not already.
If you play this game and know of some other problems, use the feedback to bring them to other Wolfenstein 3D players' attention. Thank you.

The Story of "Operation Letzterschutz"!
Prior to the imminent fall of the Nazis, a plan was secretly developed by a secret group of high ranking Nazi officers, and their leaders, Wolfgang Eisenkreiger and Emmet Von Braun. The plan involved loading up several German U-boats with a horde of stolen Nazi treasures, and heading for South America, where the Nazi forces would rebuild and plan a new war against humanity.
The plan was launched, and Eisenkreiger and Von Braun were successful in establishing an alliance with a corrupt South American dictator, known as "El Presidente". Eisenkreiger agreed to use their incredible stores of wealth to support El Presidente and his army of thugs if they in turn would provide protection for the weakened Nazi remnants while they rebuilt.
The alliance of Eisenkreiger, El Presidente, and Emmet Von Braun was dubbed "The Triumvirate". Eisenkreiger was the tactical genius, El Presidente was a master of corrupt politics, and Von Braun was a genius far beyond his time.
While Eisenkreiger and El Presidente built their army and developed a fortified stronghold, Emmet Von Braun worked feverishly to use their abundant capital in a more creative fashion.
Using technology well advanced for his time, he developed a prototype vehicle called a "gyropanzer", a machine that could hover through the use of spinning propeller technology, rather than flying like a jet. This machine would prove devastating if perfected, allowing the pilot to accurately target and attack ground troops, while still utilizing the mobility of flight.
The gyropanzer was almost perfected when the Nazi's fortune began to dwindle. The project was costly, and outfitting the Triumvirate army while padding El Presidente's pockets was a costly venture. Against their better judgment, Eisenkreiger decided it was time for the fall back plan.
The Nazis had taken some but not all of their treasure store in Germany, and though it was a risky venture, they could return to the Fatherland and reclaim it under cover of darkness. It was the Triumvirate's decision that this was the course of action that would be taken. And so, a single U-boat departed from it's hidden port in South America, bound once more for Germany and it's hidden fortune.
Little did the Triumvirate know that American agents had learned of the operation, codenamed "Operation Letzterschutz", and an unexpected piece of cargo was going to be making the return trip with the sub ... an American operative named BJ Blazkowicz.
Wolfenstein 3D Adventure!
The games are in six episodes all of which done by Wahnsinn Software 2003 as a freeware for distribution. However, this is neither a classic Wolfenstein 3D nor a simple one. The characters are so different because they are made of cartoons.
The funny and dangerous characters are from A.K.A. Cartoons, Funimation, United Planktons, naughtydog and others.
Six Episodes in Invasion of the Cartoons 1!
Episode 1 in Invasion of the Cartoons 1!
Level 1: the Storage Area:
At level one, there are new enemies such as Double D clone on the Storage Area. It begins the invasion. Therefore, your mission while carrying out with level is to destroy the six Evil Neo Cortex Heads produced the Evil Clone army. However, strong challenges are available to prevent you from making it through the first lair guarded by Eddy and his evil clone armada.
Level 2: Forest Lab:
In this level, the new enemies are Patrick clone and Kenny clone. Expect to see yourself a WOW after you have made it to the first part of Eddy's lair. In this area, you must learn that there are many traps laid before you that will engage to solve like Dummies: fake clones used to fool you. I do not know why I feel this a tricky Wolfenstein I have ever seen.
Level 3: Red Castle:
In this level, the new enemy is Ed clone. You have made it inside Eddy's fortress; here you find the last of Eddy's minions that you will have to get familiar with the adventure at this level! However, always take care of ammunitions. They strike hard and you lose health while being injured by the fierce fighting at some levels.
Level 4: Multiple Choice:
There is dangerous development in this level. You should be careful at the peak of Eddy's Fortress because it is getting toughest here. Check your weapons, ammunitions, health and be ready for the battle in the Dummy Hall!
Level 5: Eddy's Lair:
In this level, the new enemies are, Eddy-Boss 1, and 1st Neo Cortex Head of 6. Eddy will be the toughest enemy and you what, this enemy is very cruel, well determined to destroy any attacking power and well occupied by intelligence and fighting methods. There is a real zigzag here. Besides, Eddy has a small welcoming party before you confront him! You should take care here more than messing with him! In addition, even if you do defeat him you will find the Evil Neo Cortex head pumping out the Clones in this area and that will make you mad!
Level 10:
There is a level 10 here included in all the episodes. As for this episode, level 10 is a purple maze to take more prizes if you wish. However, you can skip this level. I skipped this level in some other Wolfenstein 3D games when I found that white clouded enemy is tough to defeat.
Best Strategies to Win the Game
Eddy has three ways to attack you using his collaborated force and his super chain gun. The Ed clones attack you with their mini guns and the Double D clones attack you using their pistols. Those enemies are so fast in using those weapons.
You should consider using best strategies by running fast to get rid of Ed clones and Double D before you attack Eddy with your Vulcan Fury.
Episode 2 in Invasion of the Cartoons 1!
Level 1: Bricks and Mortar:
In this level, the new enemy is Lois Griffin. You have a tough mission to defeat all the clones until you reach the masters of the game. Make them your last target. When you finish with clones, you will meet Krew and the Evil Copies he made of Himself. The new enemy Lois Griffin is the second toughest of the normal guards. She may drop a Vulcan Fury. However, do not play sexy with her.
Level 2: Holding Area:
In this level, the new enemy is Marcie. You are in the play area where they hold all the clones when they are finished. Luckily, you will not find so many of them in the cages to deal with them. However, your rendezvous with Marcie on this level will be the toughest. She is just as hard to finish as Kenny is.
Level 3: Laboratory / War Factory:
There are no new enemies in this level. But, hey boy ... watch for your head, because it is like gold. Don't play smart. Be toughest in front of the devil guards. Here is a dangerous area where the clones are animated, then armed and finally produced. There is no Cortex Head here, but there are plenty of guards to make sure you don't venture to the fourth floor.
Level 4: War Factory Elevator Area:
There are no new enemies in this level. You will be here on a good area stocked with health, ammo, and weapons. As for treasure, there is no that much, so you may not be concerned with that.
Level 5: Krew's Babies:
In this level, the new enemies are Krew-Boss 2, and 2nd Neo Cortex Head of 6.
So, you have made it to this level hero! Ha, take the lead to destroy the rest of the devil circle. Prepare well to confront Krew and his evil army. You don't know of course Krew has developed a new type of cloner, that is being tested from the first time to prove the cruelty of the devil on YOU.
You don't need a 40 inches plasma screen to watch the game. In stead hit the devil on the head hero. He has made an army of clones that are exactly like him in every aspect. His army of clones is much smarter than any other clones being developed. Krew however, unlike his army, is safely tucked away guarding the Gold key, where you intend to hit the head and take it.
The Boss Strategy of Krew (Let me write it this way)
Krew has two methods to attack. He launches in the first method a fireball that turns you into an undead zombie and in the second method; he drops a power up called: the Beaker thrower that if not used correctly, can cause you serious damage.
The best strategy to get through this level and defeat the circle of the devil consists of six steps.
* First, turn around to the elevator; activate it to reveal a push wall and a few goodies.
* Second, go after getting the Peacemaker outside and then run to the front silo to activate the push wall. A few of the clones will spot you, so it is time to run into the silo.
* Third, collect the ammo and any health packs you may need and go outside to attack the clones that are aware of your presence.
* Fourth, after defeating the clones pick up the beaker thrower, which will come with two free beakers and throw them at far away Krew clones.
* Fifth, pick up the beakers the clones drop and continue circling the arena and defeating the Krew clones. If you need health, just go into one of the four silos for some.
* Sixth, after defeating all the clones enter the center bomb shelter to face Krew and get the Gold key.
Level 10: Entryway
This level is similar to DooM 2. If you haven't played it do a search on this page by that name to download and play it. However, this level here is Ian Summerfield's version of DooM 2.
AWWWAH, hero! Now you made it through the net of devil to conquer it. However, there is still some dangers on your way to complete the episodes. There are still four Neo Cortex Heads left to destroy so don't get cocky!
Meet you on:
"Episode 3: Squid Wars" you must take down Squidward and his evil army of clones. And in:
"Episode 4: Feelin' Krabby" you encounter Mr. Krabs in his new Krabby Land Theme Park of DooM!
Episode 3 in Invasion of the Cartoons 1!
There are no new enemies on this level. However, the new enemies will appear only on level 5 on this episode. In Episode 3, you must travel to Squidwards main Fortress to stop the Third head from releasing the most advanced clones. Those advanced clones are able to attack the world from the ocean. You will have a rendezvous with the devil on this level, as you will meet The Krew Clone once again, He will now appear on all levels after the first time you defeated him!
Level 2: Kelp Forest
There is no new enemy in this level. Now you must escape the kelp forest separating you from your next target Squidward. However, beware; only four types of enemies Patrick, Kenny, Ed and at the end 2 Krew clones guard this forest. Beware; they won't go down without a fight!
Defining the Combination
Between Wolfenstein 3D and the Squadron of Poets
At the long run, the Squadron of Poets' store, takes you to stretch advanced support to the Squadron of Poets' group and the Squadron of Poets' lenses I am building here. Your intimate personal touches will reflect into some actions to strengthen functionality of the prizes the Squadron of Poets' group intends to offer to some poets. However, I am not selling poetry there. I do that in my other websites. Nevertheless, I am seeking your support there to maintain the Squadron of Poets group for poetry, love and peace.
The combination between Wolfenstein and the Squadron of Poets is not an accident. It emerges from a symbol of Playing Games Not Wars to maintain a peaceful environment, where people live in love and poets inspire some more beautiful meanings to write and make our livings better.
That is my cause! It is yours too!
