Wolf Features
If you don't know much about wolves then the first thing that usually catches someone's attention about them is the wolf's appearance. Wolves have many faces. They can look fierce, cute, or beautiful. This is because of all the extraordinary features the wolf has. It has sharp claws and deadly teeth that make it look tough, it has cute wolf ears and thick fur that can make it look cute, and it has a beautiful coat and mysterious demeaner.Picture by Khaosdog

The Wolf's Fur
Wolves can be snow white to coal black. The most common color of the wolf is gray. These are mostly Timber Wolves. Wolves in teh same area and in the same pack usually ahve the same color fur. the length of the wolf's coat in teh winter is 5 to 6 cm while the mane is around 10 to 12 cm. In the summer the wolf's fur gets shorter so that it doesn't get so hot.Picture by Solsstock
Weight and Length
Wolves are usually around 120 to 200 cm from nose to tail tip. Their length can sometimes get into the 200's. Wolves wiegh between 20 to 80 kilograms for a male and between 18 to 55 kilograms for a female. If a wolf has a wieght of 80 kilograms or more it is a very rare wolf.
The Senses
The wolf is very keen in all of its senses. It is mostly advanced in its sight, smell, and hearing. This is very convenient for hunting, which is why wolves are good hunters. Wolves can smell a prey from 1.75 miles away. Wolves can hear as far as six miles away when in the forest. Out in the open a wolf can hear as far as 10 miles. Wolves also have keen eyesight and can detect even the slightest of movement. A wolf can see as far as 180 degrees.
