How To Choose Swimwear That Makes You Look Amazing

Swimsuit season's back. Do you dread swimsuit shopping?

This lens helps you pick swimsuits that would make you look your very best.

Swimwear Trends

What's the latest trends in swimwear? What can you wear that wouldn't make you look out of place?

Swimwear's gone retro. 50s style one-piece swimsuits are hot on the runways. That's great news for us ordinary mortals as that one piece can hide a multitude of figure flaws.
Miami one piece swimsuit Especially if that swimsuit is a miraclesuit.

If you've got the figure for it, a string bikini is a classic that always turns heads.
Bikinis and tankinis are still hot this summer. These classics will never go out of style. This year, go for prints. The busyness of prints can draw attention away from the jiggles or other flaws you might want to hide.

Figure Flattering Swimsuits

Do such things exist?

Can an average woman, with jiggly flab in the wrong areas go to the changing room, try on some brand new swimsuits and not cringe?

Take heart. You don't need a body like Angelina Jolie in order to look great in a swimsuit or bikini. All you need to do is to pick the right swimsuit for your figure type.

First, now your body type. What is your figure like?

Which figure type describes your body best?

  • pear shaped - big hips, narrow shoulders

  • boyish figure - Narrow hips and small bust or flat chested.

  • top heavy - wide shoulders and heavy bust, narrow hips

  • an hourglass - curvy at the bust, balanced hips and shoulders, narrow waist

  • plus size figure - Heavier than what society dictates with large hips, large breasts and a large waist.

We'll tackle each body type one at a time.

Beachwear deals

I love a good sale. There's a swimsuit price comparison with the best deals on swimsuits and swimwear. As at 19 july 2008, there is a maternity swimsuit going at $12 and a gorgeous designer cut out swimsuit formerly at $373, now on sale for $186.50

Swimwear For Pear Shape Figures

Big hips narrow waist. So what do you wear?

If you are self conscious about your big hips, don't worry. J.Lo. made big hips hot. Some women are even going for hip implants to have more generous bottoms. Celebrate your curvy hips with string bikinis, feminine bikini bottoms with ties or other feminine details by the sides. You should be able to carry off one of these gorgeous Dot bandeau style swimsuit
Avoid boy shorts at all costs as these do nothing for your womanly figure.

If you want to hide those hips, wear are darker bottom, or better yet, if you've got a great cleavage, flaunt that in a swimsuit with a plunging front.

Swimwear For Boyish Figures

Do you have a boyish figure? Does your swimsuit make you look like a kid?

Do you look boxy in a swimsuit?

You can give the illusion of curves by a change in your swimwear.

Avoid anything that cuts straight across your body. Boy shorts that cut straight across your waist make you look like a boy. Likewise, swimsuits with low-cut legs cut right across your hips, making you look like you lack curves.

Instead, go for a string bikini bottom. Even better if that bottom has frills.

In fact, frill and diagonal lines and bright, cheerful patterns give you the illusion of curves. Go for ruffles in your bikinis. If you have small breasts or are flat on top, create the illusion of curves with ruffles. Tobago halterneck padded bikini top A padded bikini top would work beautifully too.

Okay. If you want the real thing, their are herbs you can use. The most effective one to date is pueraria mirifica.

Swimwear For Busty Women

Heavy bust that makes you look fat? You should look fab. Here's how.

Calvin Klein Ring-Detail Halter, D-Cup Women's Swimsuit If you have heavy breasts, you'd either look fatter than your are, or simply fabulous. Without proper support, your breasts would droop, giving you that papaya spilling over look. With the right support, your breasts look perky and your cleavage more than ample. The result would be stunning. For you, the secret in looking great in your swimwear would be in the bikini top or the swimsuit top.

Forget about string bikini tops. The straps have to be thick enough to support your breasts.
You need support. Go for swimwear with underwire support, or bikini tops or swimsuits that come in your actual cup size. Read the details in this article about swimwear for busty women.

Swimwear For Hourglass Figures

If you've got the coveted 36-24-36 figure or anything like that, you're the envy of virtually every woman around. Still, you should take care of what you wear in order to make the most of your assets.

St Barth hidden support swimsuit If you've got an hourglass figure, you can wear almost anything you like, provided it is in your exact size, supports your breasts and cinches in your waist.

Read swimwear for hourglass figures for more details.

The key is to show off your waistline. If your hips are larger than you would like them to be, then avoid boyshorts. Celebrate your curves. Your bikinis and swimsuits should flaunt what you've got.

Swimwear For Plus Size Figures

Is swimsuit season a nightmare for you generous figure?

Swimsuit season might make you the target of unkind jokes if you wear unflattering swimsuits. There's no need to avoid swimwear.

Just go for the swimsuits that suit you and yes, such swimsuits do exist. Instead of a bikini, try a plus size tankini which covers more and is a lot more forgiving.

Or go for a one piece plus size swimsuit for more coverage.

Better still, wear a miraclesuit which takes 10 pounds off you instantly.

The Finishing Touches

Here's how you can complete your look for the beach.

Almay Self Tanning Cream for Body Have you got your navel pierced? Summer's the best time to show that off. Belly button rings show off your abs.

Finally, get your summer glow with body bronzers.

Then slather on the SPF. There's no need to tan. Those UV rays from the sun greatly increase your risk of skin cancer. That natural tan is not worth it. Instead, go for the fake tans which are far more realistic these days than the orange ones decades ago. Now you can that bronzed look without the risk.
