Hair Pieces For Women

Hair pieces for women and men for that matter, go back to the start of recorded history. Early Egyptians used to shave their and wear hair pieces, not for religious ceremonies or festive occasions, but to protect their heads from the scorching sun.

Both men and women wore hair pieces. The style for that era was page boy, braided style. As time went on hair pieces continued to be worn to demonstrate wealth and importance. Wigs were even worn in battle to intimidate the enemy.

As time went on, up to today's age, wigs and hair pieces became less popular. Today they are worn after chemo, parties, etc. Men were hair pieces to cover their baldness while women continue to enjoy the wearing of wigs and now hair extensions.

Hair Extensions

Hair extensions came into vogue when the wife of David Beckham, Posh Spice of Spice girls fame, started showing up with different hair styles, almost on a daily basis. Some days it was short. other days long, different colors, etc . Course now she and her husband are not as popular with the decline of the Spice Girls, and David coming to America to play soccer (football). Soccer is still trying to find its place in American sports.

I am looking for a hair piece for the top of my head. I am losing hair in the top of my head. Presently, I have been wearing a unit that covers only the top and sides. Do you have something like that. I would be interesting in real hair. I am African American and I have fine straight hair.

I would suggest going to some of the links on this site and ask the professionals on their recommendations. Most if not all have a customer service link. For example this site has many different types and a 1 -800 customer service number. wigs
