A Collection Of My Favorite French Songs From Yesteryear

I grew up listening to those wonderful songs that I am introducing to you today. How many evenings I spent dreaming of romance while listening to Aznavour's songs? He was my favorite singer at that time.

I have quite an extended list of favorite singers and my hope is that you will enjoy listening to them as much as I did, and maybe even more.

I listen to those songs when I feel nostalgic. They will forever live in my heart.

My Very Favorite Songs By Charles Aznavour

Aznavour has to be on top of my list.
Here I will list my favorite songs from this artist.

Desormais
Yesterday when I was young
La Mama
Que c'est triste Venice
La boheme
Il Faut Savoir

La Bohème

Sights of Montmartre (Paris) to a french popular classic.

My husband is British and a French major, so I recognize many of these names. One of his favorites is 'Ne Me Quitte Pas' by Jacques Brel, and another is an English language song by Charles Aznavour called 'She'. You have chosen some wonderful tunes too. 5*s.

While I had four years of French in highschool, I don't get any practice nowdays. It still was fun trying to sing "La Boheme" as fast as Aznavour...whew! I also vaguely remember Sylvie Vartan from the '60s, and The Singing Nuns. ;-) 5* for a very sweet lens & faved.

I grew up in France so I am familiar with most of these, but as a teenager I listened more to French rock and pop (Jean-Jacques Goldman, Noir Desir...). I am lensrolling this to my lens about the French language as listening to French lyrics is a good way of learning French.
