Build it and they won't come!
I am no expert by any means. Don't get me wrong I know how to turn on the computer and look at pretty pages. But do the pretty pages get you where you want to be? I started out with a free web site. I was happy just to drag and drop, cut and paste my way to what I thought was a nice web site. I couldn't even get my own family to go look at it. If my family wouldn't take the time to look at it then how could I get anyone else to? Then I found the answer....Link exchange! Well I got traffic but nothing that did me any good. They traffic I did get were just clicking through to get the points they needed to get their sites clicked on. There was no meaningful traffic there. So what next? I paid for traffic. I didn't know it at the time but where I bought my traffic from was just another click to get points place so once again no meaningful traffic.
This time I am trying to do things a little different. I have what I think is a good web site that is mine. No Advertisers that I don't put there myself. I pay for my web site and it pays me back. The trick is still how do you get traffic? I am learning more and more every day that blogging is a good way to get your name out there, after all what is a web site if it's not your name in one form or another? My nick name for allot of sites is Texasboy39 so it is only fitting that my web site would be http://www.Texasboys-treasures.ws I have a small little affiliate site that is starting to get hits. Hits mean traffic, traffic mean sales, sales mean money, money means cash and a way of life. Blogging is a big help in that. If you have a hobby or something you love....Blog about it. I use Squidoo allot to blog also. I have 3 blogs up right now there. They are Running Nakid in the streets
http://www.squidoo.com/Texasboys-Treasures
The Death of eBay
http://www.squidoo.com/goodbyeeBay
and My Space is stealing money from you
http://www.squidoo.com/Myspacesteals
All 3 of these are ways to help you make money online. Plus they show you how simple it is to blog. I am no writer but when you put down what you feel and think it most of the time makes for some good reading. My finishing point here is this. If you have a web site and want it seen then do the simple things also, do some blogging and tell everyone you meet that you have a web site and they should check it out. If you don't have a web site but want one, go to my web site and watch the video on the front page. Not only do I get my domain name and hosting for just 10 bucks a month, my web site pays me to have it. Want to know how? Just check out the video, I think you will be amazed. Thank you for taking the time to read all this. I hope it helped you out even if in the smallest of ways.
