It was during this time that the idea of this book was conceived.

The first contact that I had with Brad was in March 2008. During several phone calls and emails, I was able to see the unique love and perspective Brad had for Woodstock.

You see, Brad did not attend Woodstock but felt the need to preserve its memory and to keep it as accurate as possible. Brad then went on over a year long journey contacting Woodstock attendees, performers and road crews, gathering stories, trivia and photos to make Woodstock come back to life in this outstanding recollection of the Woodstock Music and Art Festival of 1969.

Brad was able to interview hundreds of attendees, scan through countless photos and immerse himself into the Woodstock that many people had not known or seen.

Woodstock: Peace, Music & Memories is 256 pages filled with 350 color, sepia-tone and black and white photos; interviews with performers including Carlos Santana and Mountain, as well as attendees, with a special section of Woodstock memorabilia.

Artie Kornfeld, known to everyone as Father Woodstock has written the foreward and Wavy Gravy has written the epilogue.

I am so proud to be a contributor of a few personal photographs (pages 40, 66, 144 & a recent photo on page 182 ) and memories to this awesome 40th Anniversary book - a book that has takes you back to those 3 peaceful days in history that the world will never forget.

When I received my copy of this book, I was immediately taken back with it's size and the quality of the book in general. With its low cost I was expecting thinner, smaller pages and a bit lower in the quality of the photos.

But the quality is superb and fitting for such a comprehensive retrospect. The pages are even edged in psychedelic patterns to help complete the atmosphere.

The stories and quotes are mesmerizing and answers many questions. Do you remember the couple embraced in a blanket on the front cover of the Woodstock album? Woodstock: Peace, Music and Memories catches up with them and their life today. There are even photos of Woodstock then and now side by side .

It's now part of history of who played when, but many don't know how certain performers got to play and why. And why certain songs were chosen. Heck, most don't know the true accounts of how Woodstock was put together and who was involved. Woodstock: Peace, Memories and Music gives an accurate, detailed account
of the who's and why's of Woodstock.
