Woofstock 2007
Celebrate peace, love and pets and help the Kansas Humane Society at Woofstock 2007 on Saturday, October 6 in Sedgwick County Park. There's tons of fun all day long like groovy pet contests, cool dog demos, live bands, a hip silent auction and our Paws and Play area just for pets and kids. With your help, the Kansas Humane Society will care for over 13,500 homeless Wichita pets this year.

MISSIONThe Kansas Humane Society of Wichita sets the standard in care and adoption services for pets while educating the community in the ethical and responsible treatment of companion animals.
Over the last 100 years, the shelter's services have increased along with the community's needs by housing animals affected by natural disasters, providing rehabilitation and medical treatment to animals and teaching children about responsible pet ownership and bite prevention through education programs.
The current facility is located at 4218 Southeast Boulevard in Wichita. Built in the late 1950s, the shelter includes an on-site veterinary clinic; canine, feline and small mammal kennels; separate animal adoption and animal admission areas; humane education center and administrative offices. The Clinic's spay/neuter surgery program guarantees every adoptable animal is spayed or neutered reinforcing our commitment to reduce Wichita's pet overpopulation problem. Since it's inception in 1999 nearly 30,000 animals have been altered.
