Best time for back to school shopping

Going back to school is often one of the best feelings for the little ones and the teens but not so much for the adults. Somehow at the end of the school year this feeling normally changes as the adults see how well the little lady or gentleman has progressed. Let's talk about preparations for back to school. There are many ways to go about it but I will focus on two. You can shop early or you can wait until the last minute both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Shopping early:

Advantages:

  1. You get to avoid the rush and the hassle which takes place when everybody wants to get an item and supplies are probably low.
  2. You avoid spending your money on low value items because of the many so called special offers and sales that normally take place in the rush periods.

Disadvantage:

  1. You miss some really good deals as you get closer to the start of school as retailers and wholesalers want to clear out their back to school stock.

Late shopping:

1.   You can get some of the better deals of the summer.

Disadvantage:

1.   You will be getting the leftovers after the early shoppers have probably gone off with the better products.

In the final analysis some goods are better bought closer to school time while others are better bought earlier. For young children especially teenagers it is better to buy their clothes closer to the end of the holidays because they tend to either grow or gain/lose pounds over the break. You wouldn't want to buy back a new set of clothes.

Things like books and other high demand items should be bought as soon as they are available because for example a good book tends to run out of stores real quickly.

Getting back to school

Ok kiddies and teens it is getting closer and closer to the start of a new year. Some of you are a little scared but that doesn't mean you aren't going to go to school now does it. There are those who are experienced and are quite used to this situation so therefore you would be feeling a longing to get back in that circle of comfort with friends and so on. However there are the beginners those who will be moving into a completely new environment some are more able to handle the anxiety than others. There is that portion of you who are not sure about what to expect. That is understandable and I wouldn't blame you. That doesn't mean though that you should bury your head underground or worry your knees weak.

Getting used to the environment

You can start conquering your fears by trying to paint a positive picture of what your new space will be like. It can be calming to construct your own comfortable world but do not be mistaken that it will be all fun and games as after all you are attending school to learn. In adjusting, the idea is that you will try to become familiar with your environment for example when you enter a library you feel there is a hush when compared to a busy street and you act accordingly. This adjustment though is normally done sub consciously but there are others who might have to do this manually. In all situations be your more brilliant self.

How to treat your classmates?

It is good to be courteous but don't overdo it, be nice but don't abuse it because after all you don't want people to start walking all over you. Try in everything you do to keep your actions in accordance with your environment without being pushy. And this doesn't mean you should stand up for any wrongdoing or hold back when you could have done a better job. Be your self in a way that you will be proud of.

A little pep talk to end

The thing you might also need to remember is that you are not the only new student around so you will have some common ground on which to interact. At school you are there to build your knowledge with both what is contained in the books you will read and what teachers and your friends will say and do. You will be a student of life and one of the best things you can do is learn your lessons as quickly as they come because life is a cycle if you don't master something it will keep hitting you down until you do. You can handle it tell your self, encourage yourself, you can.
