Find more work at home phone jobs
There are plenty of free sites that list companies that hire people for work at home phone jobs.
Those sites, including my own, are a great start.
This lens shows you how to leverage the information you get from those sites to find more work at home phone jobs.
Step 1. Find a starting list of work at home phone jobs
This is the first step to finding home telephone jobs on your own.
www.WorkAtHomeTruth.com/work-at-home-phone-jobs.php
In this step, just make a list of the company names and websites.
Step 2. Search for forums in specific ways to find more sites
This step also gives you opinions/feedback on the companies.
inurl:forum anyone companyname - so in the case of sciathome, the syntax would be one of the following (don't include the "*"):
* inurl:forum anyone sciathome
* inurl:forum anyone sciathome.com
* inurl:forums anyone sciathome
* inurl:forums anyone sciathome.com
If you click here, you'll be taken out to Google to see exacty what the syntax of the first example looks like.
This search syntax is basically a fragment of comments such as "anyone have experience with sciathome", "anyone work for sciathome", etc.
This will typically turn up one or more forums where people are discussing the company in question.
Many of those same forums will have discussions about similar companies that offer work at home phone jobs and will have people's comments about their experiences with them.
Of course there's other syntax you can use such as
inurl:forum feedback liveops
You can also experiment with:
Replacing "forum" with:
* "bb"
* "phpbb"
* "bb2"
* "phpbb2"
But the point of this section is to start getting you thinking of ways you can find more work at home phone jobs on your own.
Step 3. Use sites that show "related sites"
Plug your work at home phone jobs sites into these . . .
1) www.Alexa.com's advanced search function
Plug in the sites you found in steps 1 & 2 in to the "related sites" box.
2) Quantcast.com
Here you just want to enter each of the sites in the main search box and then look in the section called "similar audience" for possible additional sites that could have work at home phone jobs.
Compile the additional sites that may have work at home phone jobs into a separate list. You're not ready to add them to your main list yet.
Step 4. Gauge the legitimacy of the work at home phone jobs you've found
Use the following to score them . . .
1) Use the usual rules that you would in judging any telecommuting positions. I've posted the most common ones here:
Rules to follow for telecommuting positions
2) Plug the sites into the syntax suggested in steps 1 & 2 of this lens.
3) Check the BBB but don't rely exclusively on their information because the BBB doesn't factor in the volume of transactions a company does.
i.e., 20 complaints against a company that does several million transactions per year is better than 5 complaints against a company that does hundreds of transactions a year - but there's no way to tell that from the BBB reports.
4) Check RipoffReport but with the same caveats as mentioned for the BBB.
You'll probably come across some criticisms of the RipoffReport such as the ones mentioned here:
History & criticism of the Ripoff Report
But it's still a useful site for gathering possible information to further verify about companies.
5) Check to see if the company is using a Private Mailbox. It won't be possible for you to check every private mailbox service, but you can check the bigger ones, such as MailBoxes, etc. at sites such as:
MailBoxes, etc. Universal Store Locator
Important: Several reputable companies do use private mailboxes. However, scammers have been known to use them to conduct work at home business scams. You should just use this as another indicator of a possible problem, not a deal-killer.

- I found your lens very informative. I especially liked the tip about using Google to search for forum post related to a specific company. I would also recommend a search like this: reviews: company name.
It can really help you eliminate scam companies early on.
