Making Money Doing Online Surveys

There is money to be made doing online surveys, and there are ways to get scammed in the process. By scammed I mean that you will provide your services but you will not be compensated for it. This is a problem. I will highlight some of the survey sites that have actually paid me, and I will call out some that did not. Like some of my readers, I depend on the revenue that I create online and I, we, cannot afford to waste time working por gratis.

When it comes to making supplemental income online an individual has endless options available to them, many that are genuine earners, and many many more that will only try to take advantage of you. In the following article I have documented my personal online survey experience, and I will attempt to give you the facts strait, not a watered-down version of someone else's truth. I'm not going to sit here and tell you this is a get rich quick scheme. If you would like to make a couple $100 a month, spending an hour a day doing surveys at home on your pc, I can tell you the easiest way.
After searching through the Better Buisness Bureau website I decided to join three paid survey sites that pay either through Paypal, check, or direct deposit. Also many such sites act as a middle man giving you multiple survey-company options through one website. Each survey generally pays between $.50 -$1.00 and I know that doesn't sound like much but generally I do about 4 surveys a day on three different websites. Do the math: $12.00 a day x 30 days= $360.00/ month. This is not to be seen as a full time job just some extra cash when you need it.
Finding a survey company that will actually pay you for the service you render may be frustrating and time-consuming, and it will require a certain amount of discretion and a lot of common sense. Some companies will ask for your credit card number for age verification purposes or to sign you up for a trial membership, but I cannot stress this enough: Don't give it to them! The chances are good that at the end of the month you will find charges on your statement that you will be unable to resolve because either company representatives refuse to respond to you, or because the company no longer exists. Sometimes you will do two surveys and only get paid for one. This happens when a company provides the same survey to multiple websites, sometimes altering or completely changing their appearance for no apparent reason. It would do the survey collector no good to have your opinion twice, so oftentimes it is the intermediary who is trying to benefit from your redundancy. Selling your private information can be profitable if the company you're working with is shifty or underhanded, so be careful when filling in personal information pages.
Like everything else in life you will only get out of it what you are willing to put in to it. Typically, the length of a survey is directly related to the compensation promised. For example a $.05 survey may be as quick as the time it takes to click a link, while a three dollar survey may take upwards of two days. I tend to lean between the $.50 cent and dollar surveys, which are generally 20-30 minutes long. Make sure if you complete these tasks you are focused and don't have the kids being distracting. The earlier in the day you do them the better, they have daily quota's.
