Labor-Saving Devices for the Home Bar

Ranked #13,052 in Home & Garden, #215,950 overall

We all know how incredibly hard work it is to open a bottle or two and pour a drink.

Labor-intensive, time-consuming, and overly burdensome are all terms that describe the rigors and agony associated with such back-breaking activities.

Well, recently, there has been a virtual plethora of devices released on the market, to automate this, and related home bar activities. Years in the making, these devices are in the process of revolutionizing the home bar experience, so that all of us amateur bartenders can spend more time not preparing drinks, but rather watching the game, schmoozing with the guys, and, well, drinking.

There are a whole lot of them out there, and while I'm putting as many of them as I can up here right now, I'm also keeping a keen eye out for every new device out there, and I'll be adding them all as quickly as I can.

Voice Activated TV Remote

So, you're relaxing with some buddies on a lazy afternoon, brew in hand, in front of the TV. The only problem is that there are two great games on, and you have to keep manipulating the remote to switch back and forth. You've got one hand wrapped around your brew, and you've got potato chip grease and salt, and a little guacamole, on the other. How do you change changes without having to wipe off one hand, or put down your mug? Why, with the Voice Activated TV Remote, that's how! No more putting down your beer, no more greasy chip-or-cheeto goop on the remote form those yucky fingers. All you have to do is tell the remove what channel your want.

the Waring Pro Martini Shaker

We all know how terribly difficult it is to take out a shaker or a pitcher, put in some ice cubes, pour in some Vodka or Gin, and that dash of Vermouth, and then actually stand there stirring it, or, heaven forbid, shake it. Well, after centuries of drudgery, Waring has totally removed the agony from preparing the Martini, with their revolutionary new Waring Pro Martini Shaker. That's right, an electric Martini maker. Just add the stuff, hit the touch pad, and let Waring shake or stir your Martini.

The Remote Controlled Beverage Cooler

Ok, you really don't mind opening that bottle or can, you just do not want to get up to get the can or bottle. You are, after all, watching the game, and it's not halftime. Or, you're outside by the pool, and it's so warm and lovely, and the bar or the kitchen is such a long walk from there. Well, here's the greatest labor-saving device yet invented by man, the Remote Controlled Beverage Cooler.
Yep, hit that remote, and a cooler full of ice cold brew (ok, in the cans, in the bottles) will travel up to 40 feet to bring you your next drink. Required Notice: Also suitable for water, juice, soft drinks, or even ice cream!

Too much work. Well, how about a toaster that will not only accept the odd shape of a hot dog bun, but will cook your hot dog at the same time? In fact, it will cook two of each at the same time! Automatic Wine Bottle Opener

There is nothing like a fragrant, tasteful glass of fine wine. Well, fret not more. Enjoy a fine glass of vintage vino, without the work, with the Automatic Wine Bottle Opener.
Merely insert the pointed end into the cork, and push the button. That's it. The cork miraculously pops out. No turning, no pulling, no broken corks.
