The first step of creating a successful business in MLM Network Marketing is to be able to locate and close interested people. Learn how marketing can help you take your message to thousands and even millions of potentially interested people.

Multi-Level Marketing almost doesn't make any sense to me. Most of the time there really isn't any marketing at all. You're encouraged to blurt out things to total strangers to try to create leads, and we wonder why people don't want to do that. It really makes me chuckle when I look at some of my own crazy experiences I've applied trying to make this work.

There are different kinds of leverage you can take advantage of in this industry. You can leverage off of systems, a team, tools, and many other things. Marketing is just one of those forms of leverage that can really help you explode your business. Let's talk about what marketing really is.

Your business opportunity can help people solve many kinds of problems. How many people do you know who couldn't benefit from more money? You really can help people solve problems with your business, products, and services. You just need to get the word out. Marketing helps you get the word out.

You know a funny thing happens without marketing... and that's NOTHING

Marketing is your ability to offer valuable solutions to large numbers of people all at the same time. In person you could only help a few people start a business every day, but with Marketing you can help an endless number of people all at the same time.

In network marketing the main purpose of your marketing is to attract hungry, qualified, interested people to your offer. The way that you know that those people are interested and qualified is that you ask them to take an action. People who don't take an action aren't really serious about solving their problem.

What happens after that is up to you. You could place an ad that directs people to call your office for a free consultation. Or you could direct people to your system and let it handle the bulk of educating your prospect for you. It's up to you. Your job is to get the world out with your marketing.

Work From Home Business - Success Is Worth It! 

Despite the many difficulties, a work from home business is worth the effort.

This is my true work from home business success story.

I was working hundreds of miles from home in a job I hated. I missed my family terribly. Every time I left home to drive to my consulting assignment my wife had to literally pry my children off of my legs.

THE GRIND

Even though I worked 70-90 hours a week, I couldn't even leave a few hours early on Friday so I could drive the 10 hours it took to get home. I wouldn't get home till Saturday about lunch time, and then I would turn around and drive back about 1pm on Sunday.

I hated my life. I asked myself questions like "Why am I doing all this"? The answer was, I did it because I felt like I had no choice.

ALL I EVER WANTED

When I was growing up, all I ever wanted to be was a great Dad. At the age of 12, I remember going to seminars to hear people talk about what it meant to be a good father. And here I was never home more than 24 hours, and so exhausted I could hardly function.

Fortunately for me, 4 years ago I talked it over with my wife, and we both agreed that I would come home and start our own work from home business. So I quit my job and left my dying carear. Success wasn't really optional, I HAD to be successful.

It's been tough. We really struggled for a long time, but let me tell you something. It was really worth it. My life is so much different then it used to be.

I think I'm the only father I know that takes his kids to school, gives them hugs when they come home, and takes summers off so I can take them to the water park several days a week.

If you have a dream of working from home, don't give up on it. It really can happen for you. Don't let anyone tell you it's not possible, or that you can't do it.

THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IS PAVED WITH FAILURE

Yes many people fail at it, and probably most of them think it can never really work. But turn a deaf ear to them, and make something work for yourself, even if it's not what you're doing right now.

I've never heard even 1 success story where someone says "I was broke, and the first thing I tried turned me into a millionaire". I've never heard anyone who didn't fail many times before they had their break through.

It's a fact, you ARE going to fail. So just get over your expectations of perfection. There is no success without those failures. Does it hurt? Sure it does. No one likes it. Just don't let it stop there. Let your failures become your mentors. Let them teach you what to do differently. Allow your failures to lead you on to success.

There really is a different life for people who have the freedom to work from home. I don't care what you do for your business. Don't give up... SUCCESS IS SO WORTH IT!

What it takes to be successful working from home. 

If you are working from home, you already know how much WORK it really is. If it were easy just about everyone would do it.

2 Things You Need to Be Successful from home

1. You need to know WHAT to do.

Most of the people I've met are very busy doing lots of things. The problem is most of those things don't produce income. Cleaning your desk, talking to friends about your business, or endlessly planning how you are going to do your business won't make you money.

Questions to help yourself focus

Ask yourself WHAT are the things that I can do to make money. Then focus your efforts on those things. Don't let yourself get stuck int he planning phase... planning is only good if you take action.

When looking at where you spend your time and effort, ask yourself IF this activity is going to produce income. If it's not directly or at least indirectly connected with money then you are probably wasting your time.

Ask yourself WHEN will this make money. If you're in business, you need to plan to make a profit as soon as possible. You don't want to endlessly lose money in a work from home business. Success is dependent on having the business pay for itself, and making a profit. Most people can't wait 2 years to do that.

2. You need to know HOW to do it.

If you know you have to market products, then actually learn how to market products. If you need to talk on the phone, then invest time and money doing that.

No one is going to pay you a six figure income if you're not worth it... so don't expect a home business to do it either. You need to invest in yourself to become an expert at the things you have to do.

That means you need to know WHAT you're doing and HOW you're doing it. Transform yourself into an expert at marketing, selling, or other skills it takes to be successful.

Don't play around with your business; that's what hobbies are for. Do you think McDonald's got to be one of the largest global companies by accident? No! They intentially became experts in franchising. They certainly don't have the best hamburger in the world.

Know WHAT it is you are doing. Know HOW you are doing it.

If you're in envelope stuffing, lean everything you can about it. If you're a network marketer, become a great networker.

Don't waste your life planning to have a successful home business one day... Go do it today! If you need training, go get it. If you need a new opportunity, go find it.

If you want to be successful, it's time to pull out all the stops and just flat out go for it.
