Workmans comp

After a family member was injured on the job and filed for workmans comp, the company she worked for did not want to cover it. Workmans comp claim rejected!! Why did such a thing happen when it was obvious she couldn't work?

Well I did a bit of research and found others who were getting rejected for no good reason when they too were seriously injured. Why?

The fact is that workmans comp was created to protect an employer not an employee. If through an investigation reason is found from the perspective of a company that you are not really injured or that an injury was from a previous accident unrelated to work, they can and will reject you.

But you say I really was hurt. Well that may be true but remember a company is out for themselves to save money rather than pay out, no matter how loyal an employee you have been. So what should you do?

Here are some key tips when dealing with a workmans comp claim.

1) Never quit the job.

2) Take a leave of absence if you have to.

3) Keep clear records of all pain and or problems happening.

4) Always get a doctors note.

5) Continue to submit your claim over and over again!!

6) Consult an attorney if you have the means.

7)Don't give up if you have a true injury on the job.
