How do plants and animals survive in the desert?

Are all deserts hot and how much rain do they generally get?

Do you know how the holes were made in the Papago Park Mountains shown in the picture above located in the Phoenix, Arizona desert?

In this lens you will learn about that and many more fun and interesting facts about deserts.

My Inspiration for this Lens

The idea for this lens came about after finding the World Book Encyclopedia  Interfact Book and CD.  My kids have always loved learning about animals and nature but this computer program made learning that much more fun for them.

As a home schooling mom, I love to do unit studies and share information to help you with your science lesson plans that I come across at my personal home school curriculum blog with others as well as inspirational content and resources for Christian women at www.ChristianWomensResources.com to help strengthen the home and family.
