An Introduction

World of Warcraft is the most popular MMORPG out there right now. But sometimes its hard to see why that is. Well my friend, that is because it doesn't focus solely on one aspect. Many games such as Warhammer are mostly pvp content and not much (if any) pve content. But yet WoW is not just one game. Yep thats what I said, World of Warcraft isn't just one game if you look at it correctly. With so much to do it's pretty easy to imagine and see it. This is what World of Warcraft Insights is all about. Showing everyone the true game of World of Warcraft.

The Basic Game

Basics...its where we start from.

Ok the basic game in World of Warcraft is simply the "leveling" game. You do exactly that. Whether it is getting a character up to level cap or maxing out your professions. All of these are considered leveling and here is where most players spend a majority of their time. With actually leveling a character you can go about this one (or both if you wish) of two ways.

A. Questing - taking quests, completing them, turning them back in. this is the fastest way to level and rewards for the best money and/or gear. Though questing can be a bit nerve wracking at times if you don't figure out a good route to get/do them in. I'll get to that issue a little later.

B. Grinding - just running around killing monsters. Simple right? Yeah simple ... and time consuming with disappointing rewards (thus you find yourself running to the cities a lot to get better gear), and not to mention mind numbingly boring. Not my cup of tea/coffee/Mountain Dew.

So yes by all means quest to level its faster and more rewarding as well as it gives you variety so you are not grinding murlocks since last night around nine.

Now for that pesky little problem I mentioned earlier ... a questing route. Now you can either go to Thottbot, WoWHead, or any of those database sites and look up all the quests and write them down in order ... OR you can do what I did and get a leveling guide.

But doesn't that cost money? Yeah it does but I will say it took me almost a year to reach level cap with just one of my characters before getting a guide. That's $180 while these guides have really improved and can get you leveling faster than you ever thought. Here's the two major ones

Zygor - probably the top ranked but yet a little lacking since just recently became grind free

Ultimate WoW Guide - my personal favorite. This guy knows his stuff. Can also include more than a leveling guide. Also includes talent guides

Both are fully automated and tell you were to go, what to kill, so on and so forth.

The Money Game

You have two options here

With this part (game) in the game you can make massive amounts of gold. It just depends on how you want to do it. You can either: A - go out in the world with a high level character (preferably an endgame character for this) and farm; or B - play the auction house. Both can go hand in hand as if you farm you will most likely sell what you farmed on the auction house. Now that I've told you the two major ways how about I go into how they work.

Farming - 1. start with getting the Auctioneer or Autionator addon which both are approved by Blizzard and WILL NOT get your account banned.
2. After installing either (or both) of them run over to the nearest major city in the two main continents, (No not outlands or northrend. There are no auction houses here) and do a scan.
3. Find a profitable trade good for a profession then go to thottbot/WoWHead/whatever and see who and where they drop.
4. Clear out your bags and go kill for those goods until you run out of bag space or, if you are like me, just simply get tired of farming.
5. Go back to the auction house and sell what you farmed.
To skip steps one to three I would recommend picking either of these up.

Secret gold guide - tells major trade goods that are going for good gold on most servers as well as how to make gold with most professions

Ultimate WoW Guide (gold/professions) - added bonus tells how to level professions (only section I'm not entirely pleased with on this one, but it has a three pack bundle that gets you a bit of a discount when bought with the leveling and pvp guides.)

Auction House - here you don't have to kill a thing and can all be done right away with a level one character. Just start the same way as farming with the scan. Now use either addon to tell you what you can buy to turn around and sell for a profit (keep in mind trade goods, gems, and companion pets sell the best and most consistently). After you get enough gold built up you can start monopolizing little sub-niches for even greater gold production. Only thing is you need to keep a running tab on how much the stuff you are constantly selling are going for to help you figure out the best times to sell.

For those who truly want to dominate the auction house I would truly recommend getting this guide.

Massive Gold Blueprint - the best guide I have ever seen covering the auction house. Done in a set of vidios that walk you through all the steps to be making 1000+ gold every thirty minutes (self tested and proven.) And these tips keep working. I can leave everything alone for two months, come back, and go right back to gaining massive gold like I never even left.

Dailies - little extra thing I desided to mention in here though kind of useless unless you have a character at level cap. These are quests that you can do once a day and repeat every day for gold. You can find them by looking for blue "!"s and most are pretty easy to complete. Like regular questing these can be a real pain to get down to a regular pattern so I would strongly recommend getting UWG's Dailies Guide (this guy thinks of everything) to get max gold from this in the shortest time of 2.5 hours.

The Endgame (most popular) Game

PvP & Raid

After you hit level cap is when you can really start in on these two "games" in World of Warcraft. Now I say "after" because its much more fun this way due to either Heroic difficulties on instances or real compitition in the battlegrounds and arenas. Now before you begin, read on to see what these entail because what you are doing for one will not work for the other.

PvP - fairly simple when it comes to starting up. Just talk to a battle master in any major city and you are ready to go. Now if you are just starting you will die ... alot, but dont let that discourage you. As you play you will pick up tricks of the trade and your own insight as to what to do in each situation. Stay on your toes and stay in the weekend's battle ground for maximum honor which you can spend at your faction's major city (ie. Orgrimar or Stormwind) to get your pvp armor upgrades which will help a great deal. After you become really experianced and have all pvp gear start looking at arena teams. Talk to people you know that is in a team and see what they say is important about your spicific class in the arena.

Raiding - can be long and drawn out due to dps/armor/health requirements to compleat the instance/raid well. Best thing to do here is to find a good guild that likes running people through instances for gear so they can raid. Go to WoWHeros.com to figure out where you should be and stay with it untill it says to start trying something new. Also with this be prepared to spend a lot of time and gold into getting geared, gemed, and enchanted to boost your stats to get into the high end raids. This may really bore you after a while but keep the goal in sight cause raids are some of the best gameplay activities there are due to strategic boss fights, massive damage dealing, and great gear all to get you closer to the top.

Well thanks for visting I hope that all this info has really helped you out. Happy hunting.
