Pema Chodron is a Tibetan Buddhist, particularly she is a nun in the Vajrayana tradition of Mahayana Buddhism. Most of her books are too general for this to be noticeable, but I've included a few books here where she goes into the Buddhism of her life philosophy more particularly.

Would you care to add my e-book, Sons of Gods -- the Mahabharata Retold to your list of spiritual books? It's a completely new retelling of the ancient tale. Written over 30 years, I have recently decided to self-publish it as there is still not a really good, accessible version of the Mahabharata on the Western market.
I first went to indian in 1973 and stayed at the ashram of Ramana Maharshi. His teaching of Advaita is my path; my practice is Self Enquiry as taught by him. Sons of Gods grew out of my frustration with other publlished versions of the Mahabharata.
PLease see my blog, www.sonsofgods.blogspot.com for more information! The ebok will be launched on January 1st 2012.
Thank you, Kalinka, and a happy new year to you!

May I add my novel to your list of books which illuminate world religions? I don't pretend to be in the class of many of your authors, but I do think "The Path: A Spiritual Journey" has much to offer. It's a readable story of a boy in the time of Jesus who learns through his travel and adventures that many of the religions of the time share similar values. If you'd like to read the first three chapters of the book for free, contact me through our web site www.thepath-book.com (perthwatch@comcast.net).

The Faith Club: A Muslim, A Christian

A Jew-- Three Women Search for Understanding

The Faith Club: A Muslim, A Christian, A Jew-- Three Women Search for Understanding

Amazon Price: $4.18 (as of 02/16/2012)Buy Now

Three women come together after 9-11 to discover their faith, find commonalities and deal with the divisive issues dividing them.

The authors confront stereotypes about each other's religions, deal with historical issues and all in all face up to all the things that DO divide Christians from Muslims from Jews. Yes, this goes into antisemitism, the issue of Palestine and Israel, and of course the suspicion that all Muslims are terrorists in waiting who suppress their women.
