Call me a sucker for Gold Making Guides, but I recently picked up Derek's Gold Mastery Guide and it blew my socks off. I thought other gold guides were good, but this one takes the cake. It's 110 pages of 100% legal ways to make the most gold in a short amount of time. As a casual player, I've already started using some of his insider tactics and have started to reap the benefits. I'm not at Derek's level of 200 gold an hour, but I'm slowly working my way there. The guide does have a real price ($47), but it's cheaper than buying gold online and totally legit. No risk of getting banned or giving out hard earned cash to a shady website.
I give Derek's Gold Mastery Guide two thumbs up. It's easy to use and is helpful to anyone at any level.

Easy World of Warcraft Gold Making Tips
1 - Choose Mining and Skinning as your two professions. Killing animals is pretty easy to do while you are out grinding and questing. Mines are fairly easy to find in World of Warcraft, so taking a little time to do some mining and then selling off the ore is a good way to make easy gold. You can sell the gold or skins to either merchant or at the Auction House.
2 - Questing is a good way to get gold and items, especially early on. Since many quests offer a choice in rewards, you can choose what item you want. Your choice can be based on an item that will help your character out or an item that will sell for a high price.
3 - As much as I like to get the best gear for my characters, I've found that spending money on it early on is a waste. Save the money and use the loot and rewards from quests to equip your character for the first 40 levels or so.
4 - If you want a better chance at getting gold, focus on killing humanoids. They tend to drop gold and items moreso than other creatures in World of Warcraft.
I've found these wow gold making tips to be helpful when starting out. It's good to get the gold flow going early rather than getting to a certain point in the game and realizing you don't have enough gold for your epic mount.

SHHHHH!!!! I'm going to share a killer tip from the best Dereks Gold Mastery Guide available. This secret tip has helped me earn a good deal of gold in a short amount of time.
Defias Windmill is pretty good spot to do some gold farming at just about any level. If you go to the Gold Coast area in Westfall, there is a windmill on a hill. Below the windmill, you can see a murloc camp. Surrounding the windmill are a TON of Defias mobs. Since these are humanoids, they will drop a lot of linen cloth and other good loot. They normally spawn around level 12 so they aren't too tough.
The key is that the respawn rates of the mobs are insanely fast. I took one of my higher end characters there and couldn't clear the area before more respawned. I eventually had to stop because my character was worn out and I was too. I left with stacks of linen and almost a bag or two full of lower level green items. All of these fetched a nice price at the auction house.
This spot also worked well for some of my middle level guys as well since they could grind away for experience and pick up some decent items that could be sold later.
This was the first I had heard of this spot, but it wasn't too crowded on the server I was on, so the secret might not be out..yet. Farm it while you can.

2 - Try to get 6 slot bags as fast as possible. Easier said than done, I know. Some might drop as loot and others can be bought from tailors.
3 - Create a second character, a mule, near the Auction House town. Early on, this is Ironforge for the Alliance, so a dwarf or gnome would be the best race. Humans and Night Elves have to do some traveling to get to Ironforge.

Make Insane Warcraft Riches as a Mage in WoW
Everyone who plays World of Warcraft is always looking for ways to make more gold. Thanks to resources like the Warcraft Riches Guide, , , these tactics are made available and can be used over and over again without any fear of a WoW account being banned. Check out this tip for using a Mage to make some easy gold in World of Warcraft.
One tactic for higher level characters is Area of Effect (AoE) grinding. This involves using a character class, usually a mage, and getting a lot of mobs to gather around the character before unleashing a bunch of spells or attacks that will take out the entire group in short order. The trick to AoE grinding is to make sure that the amount of time and resources to take out the groups couldn't be better spent taking out mobs one by one. Keep in mind that you'll probably need to sit and eat or drink to recover before taking on the next mob.
One good place to do AoE grinding is Silithus. There are many humanoid mobs in this area. Usually humanoid mobs tend to drop better stuff when killed, so being able to take out large mobs of humanoids in a short amount of time can help bring in a good amount of gold. The humanoids in Silithus have a tendency to drop runecloth, which can sell for a decent price at the Auction House. Once you've cleared a few groups, head back to the Auction House and sell off the stuff that dropped that you don't need. You'll probably also get some good coin drops from these mobs too. There might be some stuff that you can sell to a vendor and get a decent price for as well.

How to Make Gold Quickly in World of Warcraft
There are many ways to make gold in World of Warcraft. Some involve the auction house, some involve grinding, and some involve using professions to make valuable items. Derek's Gold Mastery Guide has tips for many of these situations. One such gold making tip involves going into instances using stealth tactics. Derek's Gold Guide refers to these as Stealth Runs. This tip is best used by Rogues and Druids, but it can used by anyone provided they have a means of staying out of sight. The main purpose of the Stealth Run is to sneak past all of the minions and lesser mobs assembled at the beginning of the instance and go directly to the boss character at the end. The group then takes out the boss and gets all of his loot without having to go through his flunkies first.
According to Derek's Gold Mastery Guide, one of the best instances in World of Warcraft for Stealth Runs is Dire Maul. Derek recommends a group of 2-3 characters for this run. He also states that using the mining profession can really increase the gold flow as there are veins of Thorium ore contained within the instance. These can be mined and sold at the auction house for a pretty nice price.

Here are 3 good spots for farming gold for level 40+ characters.
STRANGLETHORN VALE - Crystalvein Mine
Crystalvein Mine is a cave to the East from Gurubashi Arena. Inside the cave you'll find a lot of Ironjaw Basiliks which are level 43-44 mobs. You'll be able to earn nice gold by selling all the vendor trash items these guys drop and grinding the corpses for Thick Leather and Heavy Leather.
AZSHARA - Highbornes
Shadowsong Shire is on the left side of the road when you enter Azshara from Ashenvale. You'll find some level 44-47 Highborne ghosts in there. They're weak caster units so you'll be able to farm them with ease for tons of mageweave, green drops and random chests.
TANARIS - Southsea Pirates
There is a Southsea pirate town in eastern Tanaris. The place is called Lost Rigger Cove and you can get there by going throught a tunnel. The place is full of level 43-45 pirates who should be very easy to farm on high levels. These guys drop some nice silver, Mageweave and Silk Cloth and also have a good drop rates for blue/purple items for such a low level mob which makes grinding them worthwhile.

The Tanaris southsea pirates is a good place but i find the elite 45-48 orgres in the middle of the map much more profitable as they give much more xp, money and items

Killer tips. I have been debating on buying this book for a few weeks. I am going to try the tips listed here and see if they work or not. i am a 43 Mage Gnome Alch/Herb - so some of these tips sound killer. I hope they work - looking forward to some grinding after work. Ill let you know.
