WoW Enchanting Guide

Let's start with what enchanting is and how it works in World Of Warcraft.

Any class in WoW can do enchanting and don't forget it is a primary profession.Just a fast note though the blood elves do have a slight plus if you play them as they have a passive skill of increased enchanting.

Tailoring goes very well with enchanting as well and another nice thing with enchanting is no gathering.

As an enchanter you will or can place enchants on many different items such as armour or weapons to make them more powerful and other WoW players will want these enchanted weapons.

Other WoW players might be looking for a certain enchanted item so you can sell these to them.

Other players might not want your basic level enchants but do not give up as when you progress with your enchant leveling that is where you will make good of gold.

Enchanting can be a bit tedious and difficult to learn, including expensive but it is still one of the most well-liked professions.

When you commence with enchanting you will first be disenchanting items. Disenchanting means breaking them down (permanently) into core elements that you can use to level up your enchanting.

So you might well be destroying items by disenchanting them to gain new components to use for your enchants, so don't sell the expensive items you need to disenchant in the Auction house.

Just check you are disenchanting the correct items as it cannot be undone. There are many sources that you can find to get the items you need to disenchant.

Formulae are bonus enchanting recipes that you can find from sometimes hidden trainers or drops from monsters etc...

If you disenchant armour you acquire- mostly dust (varies on the level),maybe some essence and very seldom, a shard.

Doing a disenchant on weapons will give you mostly an essence.

You will obtain a shard if you disenchant blue items.

Nexus crystals and void crystals is what you can acquire if you disenchant a purple item.
