Warcraft Wealth
#1 World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide
Warcraft Wealth has really raised the bar on World of Warcraft gold Making Guides.
Warcraft Wealth is made up of multiple parts. It has the Gold Making Guide, Mining Map Guide, WoW Basics Guide, and even 2 videos showing how to use the Auction House.
The Gold Making Guide has all the elements needed to get you making gold fast. I really liked how they added some new content to the Gold Making Guide world by telling you the exact method that works best for your particular character, whether it be "PVP Freak, PVE Freak, or Freelancer Style."
The organization is perfect. They take your hand and take you step by step on your journey to making thousands of gold faster than ever.
There is also a great story of how Wayne (the creator) got his epic mount in just one day. He made nearly 5200 gold from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm...pretty impressive.

Valkor's Gold Making Guide
#2 World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide
Valkor's Gold Making Guide guide is very detailed. You will learn the ins and outs of using the Auction House to its greatest ability.
Valkor has listed all of the best items to buy for a very low price from a vendor so that you can relist it for higher and sell it at the Auction House for some amazing profits.
The only place that Valkor is lacking is the video available in Warcraft Wealth. The support of Valkor's Gold Making Guide guide is really great though. I emailed the creator, Aaron, and he was extremely helpful.

Warcraft Riches
#3 World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide
The diagrams and maps were a great bonus too, there just was not quite as many of them as the competition offered.
Derek did a good job of explaining the auction house, but I felt that there was not quite the clearest detail to really make you comprehend it as thoroughly.
Warcraft Riches also includes a couple of good bonuses for you. I enjoyed the fishing guide a lot. There is also a very interesting Profession Leveling Guide that has a lot of great ideas.
Overall, Derek Beachler offers a great guide, but Warcraft Riches is just not quite the best.

World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide - Limited Supply Items
World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide - Limited Supply Items
By Oscar Shupe
I have decided to share a really great World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide secret with you. Actually it might piss off the very few people that have been taking advantage of this already. You will be in a small minority after this lesson.
This technique is so simple, that you will be very pleasantly surprised and the amount of gold you will be banking in no time.
Limited Supply Items. That is the secret. There are a bunch of these Limited Supply Items to be purchased from NPC Vendors that a lot of people have no clue where to find them. You exploit this lack of knowledge and make a killing.
You will be able to pick up some items for very small prices... less than 1 gold most of the time; run to the Auction House and list that bad boy marked up to whatever your market price is.
The Limited Supply Items spawn on Vendors on a timer. They usually spawn every few hours. If you pick one up, nobody else will be able to get one... until you list yours at the Auction House.
Here are some great examples that I personally use. Be sure and do your research to find what these are selling for on your server before trying it.
Recipe: Elixir of Shadow Power
Buy it from Alchemy Supplies vendors in Stormwind (Maria Lumiere, in the Alchemy shop on your left, just after you go into the Mage Quarter); and Undercity (Algernon, in the
Apothecarium). You buy it from the vendor for 1g. Check your server to see what it is selling for, but I usually do it in the 7g range. I have seen it go for over 10g before... but do not get too greedy.
Recipe: Free Action Potion
Buy it from Alchemy Supplies vendors in Ironforge (Soolie Berryfizz, in the Alchemy shop across from the Tram entrance); and Orgrimmar (Kor'geld, off The Drag, on your way down to Cleft of Shadow). Buy it for 18s, sell on the AH for around 4g-5g.
Those two will work great for low level characters. But for those in the higher levels you will be able to make some more gold using the following.
Recipe: Frost Oil
Buy it from Alchemy Supplies vendor Bro'kin, in the ruins in Alterac Mountains (a little hard to find, location is 39,39, take the walkway up to him on the northern fall of the ruins). Buy it for 25s, sell on the AH for 5g and up.
A few techniques to be more efficient with this World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide strategy: Keep an alt toon at the Vendor. Log into the toon and check for the item every hour or so. Do this as much as you can to try to get the most you can. Purchase as many as you can of the item so you can use the techniques I already taught you to be able to DOMINATE the market. If you are comfortable enough, you can even buy someone out if they put one up for sale at the AH.
Enjoy your Riches!

World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide - Gold Fishing Guide
World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide - Gold Fishing Guide
By Oscar Shupe
There are so many simple ways out there to make gold that almost nobody truly takes advantage of, except for those of you that read the World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide. Today I would like to cover some secrets tips for Fishing. There might as well be a secret Golden Pond for us to use.
Many people do not take the time to fish; it really is kind of tedious and boring. Here is an example of how great fishing can be for you. A level 70 with max fishing can fish for Furious Crawdads, which can be cooked into Spicy Crawdads; a stat food that gives you +30 Stamina and +20 Spirit for 30 minutes. This food is great for tanking and sells for between 1g-2g usually.
You can pretty much sell any fish on the Auction House for a decent price. Cooks need fish of all kinds for leveling, and MANY of these people do not want to spend the time fishing. Do not discard your low level fish, check the auction house prices and throw yours up there too.
Hopefully you have still been running your scans with the Auctioneer Add-on I had you get back in the beginning of the World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide.
A great way to begin your fishing career is catching Deviate Fish. It has magical properties and is actually in limited supply because it can only be caught in one area... Near and inside the Wailing Caverns in the Barrens.
You will need level 50 fishing to start fishing these Deviate Fish. You will also want to be at or at least close to level 20 as a toon; this is to be able to safely fish there. Of course it helps to be Horde for this one, but you can manage it if you are Alliance.
The trick to catching many fish fast is to fish the "schools" of fish. Wander around the edge of the fishing area and you can see whirlpools on the water. If you mouse over it, it will say it is a "School of Deviate Fish." If you hit it, you will get the fish very quick; if you do not hit it, just be sure to cast again quickly.
The schools spawn on timers, at different locations. You can get 6 fish, give or take a couple, if you hop on a fresh spawn.
Be sure to always use a lure. Either Shiny Bauble, or Nightcrawlers, depending on your skill level... it sucks to get that "Your Fish Got Away!"
Once you get the hang of it, you should able to get in the range of 40 Deviate Fish an hour. You will probably get a few Oily Blackmouth and Firefin Snapper, but Deviates go for more at the Auction House.
These will make you a nice amount of gold; they usually sell in the ballpark of 7g per stack. They generally sell higher on Alliance Auction Houses as well. You will be able to make TONS more if you can get the Savory Deviate Delight Recipe, which requires level 85 cooking. These will sell for much much more gold; usually about 75s per fish so that means 15g per stack.
See, there is much gold to go around no matter your level. Now you are setup to make 20g+ per hour easily at level 20. That will get you well on the way to having big bucks when you need it. Be sure to look at more of the World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide.
See you at the fishing hole!

World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide - Primals - Get Your Epic Flying Mount
World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide - Primals - Get Your Epic Flying Mount
By Oscar Shupe
There is no doubt that 5,000g is a lot. It can be acquired by methods I have already showed you, but there are still many more secrets and better ways. I am letting you in on one of the really great ways. We will take a look at Primal Farming. Primals are in high demand and I have made some serious bank from them.
It is very rare to get a Primal as a drop; usually you will get yours from collecting 10 motes of the same name and then converting them to a single Primal. There are a few vendors that actually sell these Motes as Limited Supply Items. They are Dealer Najeeb in Netherstorm and Deal Tariq in Terokkar Forest. You can get these for 16s which is a freaking bargain. Other than that you will have to farm them.
The motes can be dropped from mobs of various levels in areas all throughout the Outlands. The object is to find the hot spot where you can kills mobs fast and get good drop rates for those Motes.
There are quite a few people already doing this, so you will have to try to find a spot where the competition does not slow you down too much. It is also best to do it during your server's off period, which is usually like EARLY morning/middle of the night.
Do not take everyone else's advice to farm Motes in the Elemental Plateau in Nagrand. While there is a good drop rate there, it has a few problems. It is only accessible by a flying mount... which obviously you are not going to have yet; and everybody knows about it this place. Competition is too much to make the rates worth a damn.
Primal Water - Silmyr Lake
Primal Water is one of the more valuable Primals, and the Motes can be farmed in several great locations.
The best spot of all is usually Silmyr Lake. This is a small lake in the far northern part of Terokkar Forest; just head out of Shattrath City and go north a bit. You are going to kill some Shimmerscale Eels, which drop the Mote of Water about 15% of the time. Do you hear that? I think I hear those mounts coming! Okay, I'm not funny... I will get on with the lesson.
The eels are level 62/63, and they have pretty low health; this means that at level 70 you will be burning through these bad boys. You can even farm here as a mid 60's toon if you want. At level 70 you be able to get around 40 Motes of Water here in an hour. That 4 Primal water and around another 100gold. If you are a miner, go ahead and grab the Fel Iron around the shore; and grab the junk that drops too b/c you can get a couple more gold selling it to the Vendor.
You will want to be sure and bring water breathing potions or gear with you, and probably an Azure Silk Belt for the speed buff.
While you are at it you might as well grab the quest for this area. "Rather Be Fishin" is available at Seth at the north end of Shattrath's Lower City. As a reward you get Seth's Graphite Fishing Pole. That fishing pole will come in handy when I give you more info on fishing in your riches.
Primal Water - Other Locations
There are some more spots to cash in on Primal Water besides Silmyr Lake. The Lagoon in Zangarmarsh, west of Cenarion Refuge, is loaded with Lagoon Eels that drop Motes of Water. These Eels are a bit tougher though, and the spawn rate is lower; but odds are you will not be competing against many people at all here.
You fisher dudes and chicks out there can bring in Motes of Water from fishing pretty much anywhere in Nagrand, Zangarmarsh or Terokkar. Watch for patches of water in Nagrand's Skysong Lake, up north; and Lake Sunspring, in the west.

World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide - Scryers Rep Farming
World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide - Scryers Rep Farming
By Oscar Shupe
I am going to give some more ideas on how to make some great gold for you higher leveled folks. Those damned Epic Mounts are expensive, but we will get you there... do not worry.
Farming Aldor and Scryer Reputation items are an excellent way to get tons of gold!
Aldor/Scryers Rep Farming
First things first. To be able to buy some great Rare and Epic gear you need to build your reputation with Aldor or Scryers faction in Shattrath City. You can only do one or the other since they are opposing factions.
The best way to get your Reputation up to Exalted and Revered levels you will need to turn in tokens or items that drop from mobs in the Outlands. These items are not quest-only items or Bind on Pickup, so you can farm them and sell them on the Auction House.
Aldor can farm:
- Mark of Kil'jaeden
- Mark of Sargeras
- Fel Armament
Scryers can farm:
- Firewing Signet
- Sunfury Signet
- Arcane Tome
The lower rep grinding items, Mark of Kil'jaeden and Firewing Signet, are found in Terrokar Forest and Nagrand. The mobs that drop them are in the level 62-64 range, so you will be able start on these pretty early when in the Outlands.
Higher rep items, Mark of Sargeras and Sunfury Signet, along with the rarer items that are required for enchants, Fel Armament and Arcane Tome, drop from mobs in the range of 67-70. You level 70s will be mowing these dudes down like nothing!
The prices of these will vary on your server... as always. So be sure to check your Auction House and see what the price is. Hopefully you have still been running your Auctioneer scans.
Scryers Item Locations
Do not spend too much time on Firewing Signets. If you want to try, they are only found at Firewing Point in Terrokar, dropped by Firewing Defenders, Warlocks and Bloodwarders. They are levels 63-64. You will be able to make a lot more money at this level by farming those Motes and Primals than these.
Level 68 and up, focus on Sunfury Signets. These drop in a few different locations in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley.
I've had the best success in Netherstorm. You can find Sunfury mobs at all of the Mana Forges, as well as at Sunfury Hold. My favorite spot is Mana Forge B'naar. The Sunfury Geologists here, level 67-68, are easy kills and spawn really fast. They have a pretty decent drop rate too. If you work Mana Forge B'naar without much competition, it is nothing to bring in over 100g an hour.
The other hotspot for Sunfury Signet is Eclipsion Point in Shadowmoon Valley. This is Southwest of the Warden's Cage. The advantage here is that the Eclipsion mobs have a higher drop rate for the very valuable Arcane Tome.
If there is too much competition at Eclipsion Point, try Demon Hunter Supplicants just west of the Black Temple in Shadowmoon. These guys have slightly higher drop rates for both Signets and Tomes, but they are level 70 and harder to kill.

World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide - Aldor Rep Farming
World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide - Aldor Rep Farming
By Oscar Shupe
I will continue with the Reputation Item Farming from the last installment. Previously I was explaining Scryers, so this time we will cover Aldor.
Aldor Item Locations
Like always, keep using the Auctioneer Mod so you can keep up to date with the economy on your server.
As I said with the Scryers and Firewing Signets, I suggest you do not spend too much time going for the lowest level Aldor item, Mark of Kil'jaeden. As far as making gold, you will be able to pull down much more doing Motes and Primals around level 65.
To cover your requirements of Mark of Kil'jaeden for quests and earlier Rep turn-ins, the best farming spot is Terrokar. You go south from Shattrath City to the Bone Wastes. In the north and northwest parts of the Wastes; hunt the Cabal Abjurists, Cabal Tomb Raiders, Cabal Spell Weavers and Cabal Initiates. These are all in the level 62-64 range. You will get lots of Marks of Kil'jaeden, but you will also be getting a bunch of Netherweave and Runecloth. These will both bring you some nice extra gold at the Auction House.
Onto the big bucks!
The best places for gathering Mark of Sargeras and Fel Armaments are in Netherstorm, as long as you are level 70. You will begin in Stormspire and head north to Forge Base Oblivion and Forge Base Gehenna. The level 68-69 demons here all drop the Marks and Armaments at great rates. The mobs you need to annihilate are Ironspine Forgelords, Cyber-Rage Forgelords, and Wrathbringers.
If you are an herbalist and/or enchanter, a better spot is Socrethar's Seat, the island just northwest of the Forge Bases. You can only reach this with a Flying Mount though. The level 70 mobs will give the same rates on drops as the Bases, but you will also get tons of Mana Thistle and Dreaming Glory Herbs here, and the mobs drop green items that disenchant well. Watch out for Socrethar, the elite in the middle of the island; he does not move much, so it is not much too worry about.
If you can work efficiently in the Netherland spots, you can get around 3 Fel Armaments and roughly 30 Marks of Sargeras per hour. Stacked with the rest of the loot plus herbs and disenchants, you should be raking in around 100g per hour.
Another place to check out for Mark of Sargeras and Fel Armaments is the east side of Blade's Edge Mountains. To the south, around and inside Death's Door, you will find level 66-68 demon mobs such as Death's Might, Deathforge Technician, and Death's Watch. They will drop Mark of Sargeras at 25% and Fel Armament at 2%.
A little north of here, at Forge Camp Anger, you will find loads of Doomforge Attendants and Doomforge Engineers, level 67-68. These have a bit higher drop rates for the Aldor Rep Items than the Deathforge Mobs, but they are tougher to kill. If you are an engineer, this is the only place you can get the rare Bind of Pickup Schematic for Felsteel Boomstick, which is extremely useful for leveling up your engineering skill past 360. The Schematic only drops from Doomforge Engineers.
Now you will be banking like crazy!

World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide: Cross Faction Auction House Trading
play with.
This technique is Cross Faction Auction House Trading.
I am sure you know that the AH is your key to making tons of gold. No matter how much ass you are kicking farming mobs and getting rare drops, it all depends on how well you can manipulate the AH. It all comes down to Supply & Demand.
What a lot of people may not really think about is that there is a huge difference in S&D between Horde and Alliance. Prices that are sky high for stuff on Alliance AHs may be rock bottom on Horde AHs. This is the case on every server, but the particular items will be different on different servers.
Whether you have ever thought about this or not is not a big deal, but now I am going to tell you how to make it a big deal and use it to your advantage.
I am sure you have already figured out the basics to it (it doesn't really go past the basics). Buy low on the Alliance server and sell high on the Horde server%u2026 or vice versa. DUH
Here is an example for you. I ran a scan on my server (using auctioneer as always) and saw that Primal Water is going for 17g on the Alliance Side and 28g on the Horde side. This obviously tells me to sell mine on the Horde side.
How can I do this if I am Alliance?
Get yourself setup with a pipeline for goods to trade between factions. This is where the Neutral AHs come in.
Here it is in a nutshell; I will explain more below:
- Create AH Mule toons to sit at each AH; Alliance, Horde, and Neutral.
- Every day, use auctioneer to scan and monitor Horde and Alliance AH.
- Use the Neutral AH and the in-game mail system to move items (not gold) back and forth between factions.
- Sell your stuff on the side that will bring you the most bank.
- Build your empire by purchasing low on one side and listing high on the other side.
Setting Up Your Pipeline:
Make low level alts to do all of your buying and selling.
You need 4 alts in total, 2 Alliance and 2 Horde. One Alliance toon sits in Stormwind, one Horde toon goes to the Undercity, and you need one alt of each faction at the Neutral AH in Booty Bay.
You can choose a different combo of cities if you prefer, but this is the one that I feel is the easiest to get going. Stormwind and Undercity also have more convenient access to some of the Limited Supply Items I have told you about already.
Be careful setting this up on PVE and RP servers. Even though you are allowed to create both Horde and Alliance toons, you won't be able to purchase your own auctions w/o a second account.
This won't be an issue on PVP since you can't make both Alliance and Horde toons on the same account and server.
For the main AHs, you don't even need to level your alts up at all. For Horde, make an Ogre or Troll and run them north to Orgrimmar, then fly to the Undercity. On Alliance, make a Human and run it west to Stormwind.
You can level them up a few levels if you want, just to get a few silver on there and have a bit stronger character to make the run faster%u2026 but this is up to you.
The Neutral AH is a bit tougher, since you have to go through some kind of dangerous areas. This is why I recommend Booty Bay as opposed to some of the other cities.
For the Horde:
Create your toon, Troll/Ogre, and then run a short way south from the starting point. Then head south/southwest into the little flatland patch you see on your map, towards the western coast of Durotar. Head SW across the flat area and up the "Hidden Path" you find at the south-west corner (past a Lazy Peon). Keep following the path out to the coast, jump in the water and start swimming west. A Slimeshell Makrura will probably kill you right away. This is good though. When you release after dying, you will be at the Ratchet graveyard in the Barrens. Accept a rez from the Spirit Healer and run down to the dock in Ratchet, NW from the graveyard. Take the boat to Booty Bay.
The Booty Bay AH is right at the Bank which is at the far opposite end of the wharf (south) from the boat landing. You will find Auctioneer O'reely standing on a crate between the bank and the mailbox.
For the Alliance:
It is a bit tougher for the Alliance toon. You can level your Human up to 8 or 9 to make it easier, but it is faster to just go for it.
From the Northshire starting area, follow the roads west across the Elwynn Forest, into Westfall. Keep following the road south through Westfall, and then turn west towards Moonbrook. Keep going past Moonbrook and straight out to the coast (head for the Westfall Lighthouse, if you remember it from questing here in the past). Avoid aggro as much as possible. Go for the water, jump in, and start swimming. You have to swim all the way to Booty Bay, going south and following the coast line. Don't go too far from the shore, or you will become "tired" and die. Do your best to avoid mobs, but expect to die a few times. It may take half an hour, possibly more to get to Booty Bay. This isn't a big deal considering how much gold you will rake in though.
Go to the Bank and chill, the hard part is over.
Start Trading:
I will go into much more detail in the next installment, but here is a rough outline.
1) Scan the Alliance and Horde AHs daily, and keep an eye out for trade goods and items that sell in a steady volume, with large price differentials between the factions. Depending on your server this could be Primals, herbs, Arcane Crystals, Potions, Thorium Ore, Knothide Leather, or much more.
2) Take special note of items you already know about from past installments of our newsletter that are always priced differently on different sides. This includes White Kittens and other non-combat pets, Deviate Fish, Blood Elf Bandit Masks, Deviate Scale, Zhevra Leather and so on.
3) Move items between factions to take advantage of the best selling opportunities. Do this through the Neutral AH. Mail the goods to the appropriate same faction alt in Booty Bay. That character puts them up for sale at a very low price, like 1 silver buyout, with a short listing price to minimize costs. The other Booty Bay alt buys the item IMMEDIATELY so that nobody else can grab it, then mails them to big-city mule of this faction.
4) Always trade goods rather than gold and keep the prices low. To move large amounts of gold between factions, buy items you know will sell easily and well, and trade them back and forth. Stacks of expensive enchanting shards are often great for this. DO NOT move gold by selling cheap items at high prices, you will lose 15% of the selling price to AH fees.
Well, that's it in a nutshell. Now you need to get out there and make your alts and get them setup. You also need to keep scanning so you can have some great data ready.
