WOW! World of Warcraft is Out Of this World
If you're into playing video games and the like then one such game you should look into is the game World of Warcraft
To date the game World of Warcraft boasts over a whopping 8 million people playing it, with a staggering number of people playing it at any given time. It's a large number whichever way that you look at it, and overwhelming to realize how many people are populating the world of Azeroth where the game of Warcraft takes place.
The reason for this is that the game World of Warcraft is quite simply one of the best MMORPG games around. Added to this fact are the enticements which come along with it such as the ability to create a maximum of 50 characters per account, with 10 characters allowable on a server.
Not only that, a player also has the chance of creating a character which suits their tastes, with a better than average number of character options open and available for players to choose from.
At the very beginning of the game World of Warcraft, players have the choice of choosing a character based on one of the two major factions which reside in Warcraft. This means that a player can choose from either the Alliance side, or the Horde side.
Once they decide upon this, a player then has the ability to choose from a total of 4 different races which are available each to a faction. This number goes up to 5 races per faction if you have the new World Of Warcraft Burning Crusade
And once a racial character is chosen, players of the game World of Warcraft, next get to choose from one of nine different class types. This is basically the identity of the person, i.e. whether you are an Orc of Warrior class, or whether you are an Orc of Hunter, Shaman, Rogue or Warlock class.
Of the nine different classes which are available in the game World of Warcraft, not all of them can be chosen by all of the races, for instance a Human cannot be of the class Druid, and neither can an Orc.
Once you finally get past that stage of the game World of Warcraft, you're then confronted with which profession to choose from. This is what will keep you in money, potions, armor and skills.
With a total nine main professions to choose from (you get a tenth one if you have the expansion pack), you will find that you can be just about anyone you want to be on the game World of Warcraft.
You can create a character and take him or her through their paces. On the game World of Warcraft, you have the ability to live a life you would never otherwise have even dreamed about, and which can bring you hours and hours of great entertainment.

To begin with though, these collectible Warcraft figures were introduced to the playing public through Fantasy Flight Games, with World of Warcraft Board Game
. They offered to their fans who pre-ordered the board game, a chance to get 1 of 16 Rare Edition Bronze figures of their favorite Warcraft figures.Since there was such a tremendous demand for these figures, Fantasy Flight Games then got together with Blizzard (the creators of Warcraft) to bring to the world a Limited Edition set of these same 16 Warcraft figures previously released as Rare Editions.
There was however, to be a difference in these Limited Edition Warcraft figures in that, as opposed to the black felt which lined the base of the Rare Edition Warcraft figures, there would be a green felt lining instead.
And on the rim of the circular disk on which each of the figures are standing, the Limited Edition Warcraft figures will sport a "ULTD" mark where the Rare Edition Warcraft figures have no markings whatsoever.
And the beauty of this lies in the fact that, while only 300 sets of the Rare Edition Warcraft figures were cast, the Limited Edition sets will be cast an unlimited number of times. And if that seems confusing, read on.
This unlimited Limited Edition casting of the sets of Warcraft figures will only happen for the time frame of one year in which they will be made available to the public. Also, these Limited Edition Warcraft figures can only be bought through the Fantasy Flight Games online store until March 31st 2007. And therein lies it's limited availability.

In World of Warcraft there are many quests you can go on and there many lands you can explore. You will come across many people with whom you can strike up a friendship and you will also come across many people with whom you can have a free-for-all. And through all of these you will come across many World of Warcraft items which you will find of use to you.These World of Warcraft items can be obtained through many means. One of these is outright buying. You can buy whatever items you need at one of the three auction houses (Ironforge - Alliance auction house, Orgrimmar - Horde auction house, and Gadgetzan - neutral auction house and available for use of both factions).
Or you also have the choice of buying any World of Warcraft items from the Non-Playable Character vendors who dot the landscape of the World of Warcraft. You will also find that you come across World of Warcraft items in your many quests and explorations of lands. You will be able to get these through either looting or plundering!That does sound odd, but really this is how you manage to get your World of Warcraft items, some of which are necessary for you to complete your quests. These World of Warcraft items can be obtained when any monsters that you fight drop them or when you kill anything and there is something left behind.
World of Warcraft items will also come to you in the form of chests and the like which are strategically placed, and to get to these you will generally have to fight your way through.
Other methods of obtaining World of Warcraft items can be from trading with other World of Warcraft gamers. This is permitted in the game and some people go through these channels instead of putting their stuff for sale at the auction houses.
World of Warcraft items will also generally be color coded. Gray items are the most common items and these you will come across almost everywhere. They are thought of as Poor in quality, and considered vendor trash by most people.The next color coding level of World of Warcraft items is White. These are also quite easy to find and considered to be Common, although they are not as proliferate as the Gray items.
Greens come next on the list and these are a better find than either Whites or Grays. These are also known to be Uncommon World of Warcraft items.
After Green, comes the color coded Blue World of Warcraft items. These are very Rare to find and can fetch quite a tidy sum. Unfortunately you won't be able to get your hands on these until you reach a few of the higher levels.

World of Warcraft - Now an Online Sport!
E-sports (electronic sports) have been around for quite some time. Quake and Counter-Strike were the two most popular E-sports, with online leagues and tournaments with tens of thousands of dollars in prizes. Starcraft is another popular E-sport in Korea where the top players earn over 200k a year! With World of Warcraft growing larger and larger, it was only a matter of time before competitive gaming came to it, in the form of Arenas.When Blizzard released the first expansion for World of Warcraft (The Burning Crusade) they introduced a whole new aspect of PvP (Player versus Player) called Arenas. Arenas were special locations where organized teams of 2, 3, or 5 faced each other in order to get more gear. Arenas use an advanced rating system, similar to chess, that instantly made it the most competitive part of the game. Teams fought against each other day after day trying to get to the top 10 (out of thousands of teams). Blizzard then announced that they would be hosting a tournament for 5v5, and the top 3 teams from each bracket would be invited. This not only ignited the spark in some teams to climb even further but it also drew interest from many top E-Sport sponsors, such as Pandemic and Check-Six. Now not only were teams competing for a $10,000 grand prize but also to be sponsored by many of the top teams. It was a very competitive tournament, with Power Trip winning and Pandemic coming in 2nd, and really opened the doors for WoW to become an E-sport.
Very soon after, Blizzard made an agreement with the E-Sport tournament company WSVG (World Series of Video Games) to allow them to host 3v3 tournaments at their events. With $10,000 first place prizes, many teams practiced all season in World of Warcraft and then would travel to these WSVG tournaments. The 3v3 bracket is often the most popular one for spectators as it is very fast paced and there are fewer players on the screen then a 5v5. There have been 3 tournaments so far with many more scheduled and WoW is only getting more popular because of this. WSVG recently signed a deal with CBS to bring their tournament onto national TV.
World of Warcraft started out as an online game with a very nerdy appeal to it but has very rapidly turned into a very well known game, growing not only in membership but in the E-Sports area. With the prizes dwarfing those of other E-sports, many players are crossing the river over to World of Warcraft.
