World Of Warcraft Priest Talent Guide

Tired of getting owned by those mobs that you see hunters soloing with ease?  Maybe you say a shadow priest in a battleground with the highest overall damage or most honorable kills?  Do you want to be able to do those things?  You have picked the perfect place to get the information!

Priest Talent Build - Shadow Priest 

Soloing and PvP Build

The shadow priest is the heart of the priest soloing talent build. You basically have a little bit lower nuking power of a mage, a little bit lower damage over time spells of a warlock, and basic healing abilities of the priest class. Perfect for the soloing caster. Here's what you need to focus on:

Levels 10-14 - Spirit Tap (5/5)
Levels 15-19 - Improved Shadow Word Pain (2/2) and Shadow Focus (3/5)
Improved Shadow Word Pain - longer duration = more damage
Level 20 - Mindflay (1/1) Movement slowed by 50% and nice damage with this ability
Levels 21-25 - Improved Mind Blast (5/5)
Levels 26-27 - Shadow Reach (2/2)
Levels 28-29 - Improved Psychic Scream (2/2)
Level 30 - Vampiric Embrace (1/1)
Levels 31-32 - Improved Vampiric Embrace (2/2)
Levels 33-35 - Focused Mind (3/3) Mind spells cost 15% less to cast
Levels 36-39 - Darkness (4/5)
Level 40 - Shadowform (1/1) 15% added shadow damage, 15% physical damage reduced, and the cool see through body effect.
Level 41 - Darkness (5/5)
Levels 42-46 - Shadow Power (5/5)
Levels 47-51 - Misery (5/5)
Level 52 - Vampiric Touch (1/1)

After 52 you should start working up the discipline tree.

Instances and Raiding

As a holy priest all your going to do is buff and heal for raiding and instances. As a holy priest you become one of the best healers end game which is what a lot of raiding guilds want. Here's the build for the holy priest:

Levels 10-11 - Healing Focus (2/2)Great when you really need to heal but have a mob hitting on you. Can save your life or a party members life.
Levels 12-16 - Holy Specialization (5/5)
Levels 17-21 - Divine Fury (5/5)Faster heals is always nice
Level 22 - Holy Nova (1/1)Deals damage around caster and heals all party members around caster
Levels 23-25 - Improved Renew (3/3)
Levels 26-28 - Inspiration (3/3)
Levels 29-33 - Wand Specialization (5/5)
Levels 34-35 - Improved Power Word: Fortitude (2/2)
Levels 36-38 - Improved Power Word: Shield (3/3)
Level 39 - Inner Focus (1/1)
Levels 40-42 - Meditation (3/3)
Levels 43-44 - Holy Reach (2/2)
Level 45 - Spirit of Redemption (1/1)Keep healing after your dead
Levels 46-50 - Spiritual Guidance (5/5)
Levels 51-55 - Spiritual Healing (5/5)
Levels 56-58 - Holy Concentration (3/3)
Levels 59-63 - Empowered Healing (5/5)

Priest Talent Guide - Trispec Build 

Equaly in all trees.

With this talent build you can be efficient for whatever you doing. This is great for a new player that wants to experience everything in World Of Warcraft without having to pay gold to re-spec for each encounter. Follow this build by the levels. Its important that you stick to this guide by level because certain skills help at certain levels. Here's the build:

Levels 10-14 - Spirit Tap (5/5)
Levels 15-19 - Improved Shadow Word Pain (2/2) and Shadow Focus (3/5)
Level 20 - Mindflay (1/1)
Levels 21-25 - Improved Mind Blast (5/5)
Levels 26-30 - Wand Specialization (5/5)25% more damage without any mana.
Levels 31-32 - Improved Power Word: Fortitude (2/2)Increases the effect of your fortitude spells by 30%
Levels 33-35 - Improved Power Word: Shield (3/3)15% more damage absorbed by your shield spells.
Level 36 - Inner Focus (1/1)
Levels 37-38 - Healing Focus (2/2)
Levels 39-43 - Holy Specialization (5/5)
Levels 44-46 - Improved Renew (3/3)
Level 47 - Holy Nova (1/1)
Levels 48-50 - Meditation (3/3)
Level 51 - Martyrdom (1/2)
Levels 52-56 - Mental Agility (5/5)
Level 57 - Divine Spirit (1/1)
Levels 58-59 - Improved Divine Spirit (2/2)
(You can choose to build up any of the three specs now, I usually go with Discipline to reach Power Infusion, but just as well you could go for Spirit of Redemption, or the Tier 5 Shadow talents)

Levels 65-66 - Force of Will (2/5)
Level 67 - Power Infusion (1/1)
Levels 68-70 Force of Will (5/5)
