Webkinz, Webkinz, What in the World is a Webkinz?


That's what WE wanted to know... what is this webkinz craze sweeping North America?(If you already know... scroll down for some great deals!)

What we found were adorable pets put out by a very innovative company in Canada. Ganz has married the idea of very collectible stuffed animals (think the beanie baby craze) with virtual pets to come up with a unique idea that has wide appeal.

Such wide appeal, in fact, that retailers limit how many webkins can be purchased at a time by one customer, hold back some stock so that they will not sell out to quickly, and sometimes even require a separate purchase in their store before they will let you have one. These have become very hard to find in retail stores simply because they can't keep them on the shelf. We have a solution for you below. We have found some online sources for you.

We haven't mentioned every Webkinz here by any means. New Webkinz are born regularly and we can't always keep up.

Online seems to be the best place to find Webkinz. Brick and mortar retail stores just can't keep them in stock. However, some online stores have them available, and many will allow you to preorder or backorder them. Here are a few suggestions.

As with all collectibles, we encourage you to exercise caution when buying Webkinz on eBay. Look for sellers with great feedback... not new users or low feedback numbers. We like PowerSellers with tens of thousands of positive feedback. Do your homework before buying. If it sounds like it is too great to be true, it just might be.

Also, watch your shipping costs. Some sellers sell low, but have very high shipping or handling costs. Email the seller to find out the exact amount BEFORE bidding.

... where can I still get them???

If you tried the store links above for the individual Retired Webkinz you are looking for and did not find one, all hope is not lost!

We have found the best places to get the retired models are Amazon and eBay. You will pay more than you would if you had purchased before they retired, but they are generally sold out pretty quickly, often before they are even retired. Therefore, if you can no longer find them at a store, the only place to get them is from an individual who has them.
