Welcome to World's Strongest Librarian

Hi, my name is Josh Hanagarne and I am currently masquerading under the title World's Strongest Librarian until someone calls me out.

I started WorldsStrongestLibrarian.com for anyone looking to get stronger, healthier, smarter, and who wants to enjoy every day of their lives.

I write articles about getting stronger, getting smarter, and enjoying life. Every single day, there is a way to live better. Fitness, books, music, family, movies--all of these are avenues to a more satisfying life. And so I will experience everything I can and continue writing about it until I drop dead.

I've also got a really wild case of Tourette's Syndrome, which make things pretty...interesting at times. Follow the blog and you'll get a great feel for what TS is, and what it isn't.

I'd love to have you come by and say hi!

This video was shot at work after hours with my kettlebells. That's my lovely wife doing the sublime voice acting.

Vampires sparkle...sigh

Twilight isn't that bad, but it's not that good, either. Everybody go splash some water on your face, take a deep breath, and step back from the brink. Who am I kidding? I LOVE YOU EDWARD!!!!!!!! XOXOXOXOXO....ugh.

How To Get Stronger At Work While Your Boss Isn't Looking

free e-book for anyone trapped in an office

I am trapped in an office for about 40 hours a week. After my son was born, I had no free time left. My workouts were suffering because I was getting up early to exercise and not sleeping well at night. If you've ever used kettlebells, you know that you want to be fresh and focused or you're liable to knock your own head off.

I realized that I had two 15 minute breaks and a 30-60 minute lunch every day. That's when I started doing my extra exercising. Stretching, prehab, rehab, joint mobility and grip work.

I know I'm not the only one in an office, and so this modest little e-book was born: How To Get Stronger At Work When Your Boss Isn't Looking. It's not comprehensive. It's just a humble reference tool for anyone looking to do a little more with the time they have (or don't have).

If you get anything out of this at all, I'd love to hear about your successes:

I am a tall, twitchy librarian with Tourette's Syndrome. I am also a kettlebell and grip strength addict, not to mention a reader of anything and ever... (more)
