A great book overall. I have a deep obsession of zombies and post-apocalyptic events. This book beautifully incorporated the both of them into a fantastic story of mankind's survival. I absolutely loved it!

Great friggen read! the movie will lack the same suspence as the book. It is no DAWN, but still a great zombie tale!

Got this for X-mas a few years back. My copy has a lot of miles on it. All my friends have gotten a turn at reading it. Probably the first book we as a bunch of guys have actually sat down to talk about afterwards. Some of the more haunting parts of the book had to do with the human side of things. The whole deal with the Russian army gave me chills.

I love both this and the Zombie survival guide of Max Brooks. Two of the best books I have ever read.

A Quote From World War Z:
I found "Patient Zero" behind the locked door of an abandoned house across town. He was twelve years old. His wrists and feet were bound with plastic packing twine. Although he'd rubbed off the skin around his bonds, there was no blood. There was no blood on his other wounds, not on the gouges on his legs or arms, or from the large dry gap where his right big toe had been. He was writhing like an animal; a gag muffled his growls.

Recognize Any Famous Faces?
While Brooks doesn't name names, he does elude to some famous people being involved in the events depicted in his book. Some of the caricatures seem fairly obvious. Who do you think you spied hanging out with Zack?
