My friend had a very simple worm farming set up but he had thousands of worms.
- First he had a shed in his backyard that had plenty of shade and didn't get too hot
- Second he used an old bath tub and filled it up with dirt
- Third he placed a ton of leaves and twigs on top of the dirt
- Fourth he placed an old wool bale over the top of the dirt. He kept this bale wet so that the leaves and the dirt were always damp.
- Fifth he dug up a few dozen worms for a special spot we knew about and placed them in the home made worm farm
Fishing Worms
We'd just get enough worms for the trip and off we'd go with the perfect trout bait.
Of course these days you can purchase ready made worm farming kits but all in all it is not that hard to do.
Plus the kids absolutely love it too.
