Could BBC6 Music have gotten it any more wrong than this?

George Lamb of BBC Radio 6Music is arguably the worst Radio Presenter ever! His ability to spout complete nonsense whilst trying to sound original and intelligent would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. He really is quite a blot on the landscape of probably the best UK Music based Radio station.
Surrounded by a bunch of sycophantic goons he reminds you of the worst of radio DJ's and relies on them to correct him when wrong, which is often.
I don't think there has ever been a dj that has sparked such debate. It's obvious that he does have an audience, but is it really a 6music audience? It's been said that his placement was to attract 'female listeners', well I think his main success has been to attract morons and imbeciles and as many women as men are offended by his presence on what was the greatest music station.

  • he pretends to be clever, but then comes a cropper

  • His fake cockney or 'mockney' accent is makes him sound a complete tool for one educated in such a posh school as St. Christopher's
  • He's a useless interviewer
  • He doesn't play enough music, when he does play some he ruins it by either talking over it or using some stupid sound effect.

I think GL is pretty good, his show with Marc Hughes is funny, music is great.
Some people need to get a life, if you don’t like him fair enough - dont listen to his show!
But there are some idiots who post the same rubbish on sites like facebook, bbc boards etc. You people need to sort it out! I mean fair enough, make your point…. But don’t bore us with it.

Useless - a throwback to the bad old days of Noel Edmonds and Dave Lee Travis. Reducing him to two shows a week is not nearly going far enough. Relegate him to the 'documentary' tv fodder he pops up in. Nice suits though.

I cant stand George Lamb, he is an utter moron!! Just the sound of his voice annoys me, not what you need to wake up to at the weekend!
His Mockney accent and endless use of irritating sound effects has me tuned away from 6music at the weekends to listen to NME instead, I used to try and tune back for Adam and Joe but now they are 'taking a break' to persue other things (strangely announced at the same time George was moved to weekends, they obviously cant stand him either) I dont bother.

What are 6music thinking, continuing to employ this pillock!!

If he was such an asset to the station why did they move him to the graveyard shift? However he spins this, he's been demoted to an insignificant corner after having blown it in a mainstream slot. Having failed at every other job he's done on TV and radio I guess he'll be dissapearing soon. Sometime around sausage'o'clock I imagine.

Lamb is an incompetant, racist, sexist, arrogant pillock. Which would be bad enough, but it also has to be said that at the end of the day he 1) Isn't even remotely funny or amusing in any way at all and 2) He can't present a radio show to save his life. He just doesn't know how to do it and, even if he did, he lacks the skill and ability.

The man is a thick, uneducated wideboy with the personal magnetism of a turd and the charisma of a dead slug.

He knows NOTHING about music. Nothing. At all.

The BBC is failing in its remit by employing this twerp.

And that jingle "George Lamb - I would!" says it all. What on earth does it matter if he is good-looking or not? It's a radio show ffs. If being good-looking is the best reason to have him on a RADIO show then he needs to be sacked right now. IE - at 9am tomorrow morning, and not a minute later.

My girlfriend and i feel vindicated, we have been saying to eachother how bad a dj he is for ages. It has got so bad that it feels like irrational hatred for someone who we know nothing about nor care about, but now we realise that there are many more like us.
