World of Warcraft, often referred to as WoW, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft is an online role-playing experience set in the award-winning Warcraft universe. Players assume the roles of Warcraft heroes as they explore, adventure, and quest across a vast world. World of Warcraft is a "Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game" which allows thousands of players to interact within the same world. Whether adventuring together or fighting against each other in epic battles, players will form friendships, forge alliances, and compete with enemies for power and glory.

As a massively multiplayer online game, World of Warcraft enables thousands of players to come together online and battle against the world and each other. Players from across the globe can leave the real world behind and undertake grand quests and heroic exploits in a land of fantastic adventure.

In the simplest form a MMORPG is a game where you get to control a character through a very long period of time, similar to traditional role playing games. Your character will grow, progress and change as you play. A MMORPG takes much longer to complete, especially since the developer will constantly be adding new content and quests to the game.

In a MMORPG your character advances in several ways (primarily levels and professions). You play this character, levelling him/her up, gaining skills and attributes, getting new equipment, and becoming much stronger. You accomplish this by defeating enemies and completing quests. In the begging you can do this on your own. As you progress through the game you will find that you need to form groups or join guilds to progress through more difficult quests.

The game has two warring factions: the Alliance and the Horde. Each side made its own mistakes, and both put aside their differences to unite against a common enemy in the end.

Your character's race also affects what class you can play. Here are the classes that are currently in the game: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior and Death Knight.

World of Warcraft offers ten playable races: Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Night Elves, Draenei, Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Undead and Blood Elves. Each of these races has unique racial traits and certain playable classes available to them. These racial traits and class options help them to accomplish their goals in the world.

Multiple professions:

• Inscription- added in patch 3.0.2. Craft scrolls, glyphs, vellums for Enchanters and more.
• Alchemy- Craft potions, flasks and weapon oils, can perform certain transmutes.
• Blacksmithing- Craft armor, weapons, weapon and armor enhancements, and tradeskill items.
• Enchanting- Apply enhancements to armor and weapons.
• Engineering- Craft explosives, guns, scopes, bullets, armor, mechanical pets and gadgets.
• Herbalism- Herb gathering.
• Jewelcrafting- Craft jewelry, trinkets and gems for socketed items.
• Leatherworking- Craft leather and mail armor, armor kits and other items.
• Mining- Gather metal ore, stones and gems. Smelt ore into metal bars.
  Tailoring- Craft cloth armor, bags and clothes.
• Skinning- Gather leather and hides.

Your reward is money and reputation which will increase your skill and power.

When you start the game you have to choose sides. You will either join the forces of the Alliance or the forces of the Horde. Then you will have to create your own special character by choosing one of the nine classes of characters that exist in the world of warcraft. Each class possess different skills, attributes and talents inside the game. For example a hunter or a warrior is not the same as a druid or a mage. This part of the game is the most important. Choosing the right class the fits your own personality or skills will help you while you move on.

As you begin your quest in the of world of warcraft, your goal should be to gather as much gold as possible and to start gaining battle experience by defeating lesser monsters and other creatures. As you progress you will encounter different creatures and greater monsters. In order to defeat those you will need the help of other individuals. That is the secret to succeed in the game. You must form a strong team of characters/people that will fight together and will stay united at all costs. If you can't form a team of your own it might be a good idea to join an existing team of characters controlled by different people around the world.

Leveling Your Character from Level 1 - 80

Everybody has to start game with level first with their new account; your biggest obstacle right now is how to level your character to the maximum level of 80. Dominating Other Players in PVP

You will take the most pleasure from dominating the opposite faction in battlegrounds, arena or even while you're questing.
You might want to consider learning about PVP early if you started your character in a PVP server, because you can be sure that there will be a lot of players that will try to ruin you while you're questing.
