Druid Bear Form Quest Walkthrough for Alliance & Horde
Well, shapeshifting into a bear increases melee attack power by 30, armor contribution from items by 180%, and Stamina by 25%. It also protects the caster from Polymorph effects, and allows the use of various bear abilities. Further, the act of shapeshifting frees the caster of Polymorph and Movement Impairing effects.
Sounds like a good idea, doesn't it? Well, this is how to get through the five quests in the series to get your bear form shapeshifting spell.
The five quests are: Heeding the Call; Moonglade; Great Bear Spirit; Back to Darnassus for Alliance; or Back to Thunder Bluff for Horde; Body and Heart.
By the way, if you're interested in a guide that covers all things Druid - from creation, leveling, talents, and builds, through macros, raiding, and PvP strategies check out the Killer Guides WoW Druid Guide.

Quest 1- Heeding the Call
For Alliance druids this is Mathrengyl Bearwalker in the Cenarion Enclave in north-western Darnassus, on the second floor of Fandral Staghelm's tree at (35,8.)
For the Horde druid it is Turak Runetotem (76,28) on the Thunder Bluff map) on the Elder Rise.
Quest 2 - Moonglade
**WARNING FOR PvP SERVERS** This quest is for all druids- Horde and Alliance- and Moonglade is contested territory for those of you who are on PvP servers, so watch out for those high level players (both Horde and Alliance) who love to gank low level druids on this quest.
When you arrive in Moonglade you will be in the village of Nighthaven. Go inside the building directly in front of you. Upstairs is the fellow you need to talk to: Dendrite Starblaze (56,30.) He will give you a quest to talk to the Great Bear Spirit.
Quest 3 - The Great Bear Spirit
Now you need to return to Dendrite Starblaze in Nighthaven Village in Moonglade to get the rest of the quest. However, if you try to run back to the village to find Dendrite Starblaze again you may find yourself having a problem or two:
1- there is another building that looks exactly the same as Dendrite Starblaze's place and it is easy to go into the wrong building;
2- for those on PvP servers there may be high level PvP-ers who are lying in wait for you.
So, just click on your teleport to Moonglade spell again. That will put you back in front of the correct building.
Poll: What's The Best Druid Talent Build?
The druid class is a hybrid of healing, offensive spell casting, and melee combat/feral forms.
Where you spend your talent points affects your animal forms, as well as your attacking and healing capabilities while in human form.
Many people have strong opinions about the best talent tree for Druids. What's your opinion?

Quest 4 - Return to Darnassus (Alliance) or Return to Thunder Bluff (Horde)
For Horde return to Thunder Bluff and speak with Turak Runetotem on the Elder Rise. For Alliance return to Darnassus by way of Rut'theran Village and speak with Mathrengyl Bearwalker in the Cenarion Enclave.
There are flight paths around the town that are free for Alliance and Horde; check out (48,67,) just watch out for PvP-ers. If your hearthstone is set for Darnassus or Thunder Bluff and it is full you can just hearth back.
Quest 5 - Body and Heart - Alliance Version
You can take a boat or fly to Auberdine, then go east of the town and find the closest moonkin cave. The coordinates are (43,46.) You have to kill the three level 11 to 13 moonkin guarding the cave, and get inside to find the Moonkin Stone. There will be others about, as well, but you really only need to kill the moonkin right in front of the entrance to the cave. Be certain you have Thorns and Mark of the Wild cast on yourself. If you are soloing this quest, pull and kill the moonkin one by one. The level 13s are more trouble than Lunaclaw. Try entangle, then moonfire, wrath, moonfire, wrath, etc. You may want to have rejuvenation up in case you are hit. First aid or health potions would be a good idea.
Enter the shallow cave, check that your health and mana are full, and then use the dust on the stone. Lunaclaw, the defender of the stone (a level 12 moonkin) will appear, and he will likely appear behind you, so turn around after you use the dust on the stone. Blast away with moonfire, wrath, moonfire, wrath, etc. Unfortunately, you cannot use entangle since you are inside the cave, unless you can catch him before he enters the cave. He is level 12, so he's not as hard as the 13s you may find just outside.
Lunaclaw's spirit will be released over his body when he is dead. Talk to his spirit and he will give you what you need to complete the quest, after which you return to Mathrengyl Bearwalker in the Cenarion Enclave in Darnassus. Hand in the quest and you will receive your bear form spell.
Quest 5 - Body and Heart - Horde Version
Enter the Barrens from Mulgore and go directly south. You will see a hut with a ork called Peon. Behind the hut is a little ravine with a large tree, and behind this tree is the Moonkin Stone. Coordinates are (42,60) or (42,61.)
Be certain you have Thorns and Mark of the Wild cast on yourself. Apply the dust to the stone and Lunaclaw, the defender of the stone (a level 12 moonkin) will appear, and he will likely appear behind you. You can use entangling roots on him to keep him at a distance, hit him with rank 2 moonfire, then wrath, entangle, wrath, etc. You may want to have rejuvenation up in case you are hit. First aid or health potions would be a good idea.
Lunaclaw's spirit will be released over his body when he is dead. Talk to his spirit and he will give you what you need to complete the quest.
The Camp Taraujo flight node is close by, so when you're done grab it and you can fly back to Thunder Bluff. See Turak Runetotem on the Elder Rise. Hand in the quest and you will receive your bear form spell.
