Tips to Make Your WoW Questing Less... Annoying
Questing is one of the finest and yet most terrifying aspects of the majestic game we call World of Warcraft. Many a gamer has fallen in the line of duty, crushed, cursing with rage and hatred at the terrible things known only as "quest lines."
Are You Going to Play a Death Knight?
- Free Death Knight Leveling Guide
- If you are one of the three (zillion) people who is going to be playing a Death Knight in Wrath of the Lich King, then check out this free DK leveling guide for the starter area (levels 55-58.)
It covers every step: what to do, where to go, what to kill or collect and will get you out into the rest of the game world in record time.
Best of all, it's 100% free! Click here for yours!

The Questing MindIndeed, when trying your hand at some serious questing you must be firm and you must be strong of heart and mind; lest you be torn asunder by the variety of horrid beasts that live only to make your Warcraft experience a true and definitive nightmare.
Now, having dispensed with my slightly over-dramatic and frightening tone, I will confirm that World of Warcraft quest help is one of the many things new and old gamers alike frequently seek.
To the new gamers, of course, it's all fresh and exciting. To the older gamer, working her umpteenth character to 70, it's another story.
Often you can simply play by ear (or rather text in this case,) and emerge successfully after enjoying some new experience, and earning gold and loot as well. However, the higher up in level one goes, the harder and harder the quests become. Soon, even the most fortunate adventurer will find himself or herself mired in ambiguous and confusing text and truly un-helpful NPCs.
Fear not noble hero (or villain,) for help lies a short hop, skip, and jump away in a series of very informative websites. A simple search can reveal astounding amounts of information - practically everything about where, when, and most importantly *why* you should complete the quest. All the rewards for single quests or even quest chains are but a click away, which is much better than spending your hard-earned gaming time running about in a wasteland looking for purple flowers, right?
Help is on the Way
Most of these websites run as something of a constantly growing library, the largest using certain programs to automatically gather information about the game world and more important things, such as quest data and the like. They also allow user comments and you'll find that the real juice in the sites is frequently in the comments.
Some of the more popular WoW quest help sites include thottbot,
allakhazam, and goblin workshop.
These, as I mentioned earlier, use the database system and are constantly updating with the latest quests, loot, and even item recipe information. They even have Wrath of the Lich King info, so you are not lost if you have that expansion.
Each of these sites has a good search feature and pretty decent navigation, so whether you're skimming the entire Inscription profession, or looking for info on a specific level 73 quest, you should be able to easily find what you are looking for.
The iDemise In-Game Leveling Guide
Even Better than Thottbot
One of the best assistants you could have on your side when questing is a good guide that includes all of the quests, and is written by someone who has been there and done it all. This is one of the reasons I own three of the most popular guides out there: one for my Horde characters, one for my Alliance characters, and the iDemise guides.
The iDemise guide is a killer, in-game guide. Everything is laid out, step by step, with tips, and is hooked up to your main map. You'll instantly see which step to do and where to go and you'll never have to switch out of game to look at another website. Get yours here.
I expect you would rather have the exact coordinates and a marked map telling you where your prey is, rather then a rather oblique direction to "somewhere in that very large mountain range," no? It saves time, stress, and getting ganked by other players, if you play on a PvP server like I do.
Also, the guide will have you collect a number of quests at the some time and then exectute several of these quests at the same time. You'll be doing five at once, instead of running hither and yon for each one. This will speed up your leveling speed by an amazing amount.
Each of these guides include coodinates marked on your main map with the Map Notes addon. (You can download the guide map addons from their sites.) You can also modify the map notes with your own notes.
An additional note on the coordinates idea: if you don't already have coordinates in-game they are easily added with many different modifications such as my favorite, Titan-Panel. If you need help finding this modification simply go to the curse-gaming website and search; it's quite the time saver.
Another mod you will most likely wish to pick up is the Atlas-Mod, an extremely helpful in-game map of all the instanced dungeons in practically the entire game. Saves getting lost and killed wandering the watery depths of some cave.
All in all, if you take my few words of wisdom (that I assure you have been gained through much hardship and annoyance on my part,) you should do quite well.
