Warlock Talent Guide - Affiliction

Soloing And High Damage Over Time

The affilction tree gives many abilities to regenerate mana and health over time while fighting. This is great for soloing and even better for pvp. What happens when you run out of mana during a fight? You either have to stop whatever your doing to sit and drink or you die or you have to run away from the fight. With affliction your almost never running out of either which means more damage and longer fighting which leads to more experience or honor. Here's the build

Levels 10-14 - Improved Corruption (5/5)
Levels 15-19 - Improved Drain Soul(2/2), Soul Siphon (2/2), Improved Life Tap (1/2)
Level 20 - Amplify Curse(1/1)
Levels 21-25 - Improved Curse of Agony (2/2), Improved Life Tap (2/2), Suppression (2/5)
Levels 26-27 - Grim Reach (2/2)
Levels 28-30 - Empowered Corruption (3/3)
Levels 31-32 - Nightfall (2/2)
Level 33 - Siphon Life (1/1)Great for gaining back some health
Levels 34-35 - Suppression (4/5)
Levels 36-40 - Shadow Mastery (5/5)More shadow damage
Level 41 - Dark Pact (1/1)700 free mana
Levels 42-46 - Contagion (5/5)
Levels 47-48 - Improved Howl of Terror (2/2)
Level 49 - Curse of Exhaustion (1/1)
Level 50 - Unstable Affliction (1/1)

Levels 56-60 - Bane (5/5)

Warlock Talent Guide - Demonology

Demonolgy is a great way to go if you want to solo all the way to 70. Your pet is going to be your main line of defense. So why not keep him alive and dishing out as much damage as possible. If you go the demonology line you'll be able to buff him up and have him taking all the hits while you DoT/nuke em down. Here's the build:

Levels 10-11 - Improved Healthstone (2/2) More health from your healthstone
Levels 12-14 - Demonic Embrace (3/5)
Levels 15-16 - Improved Health Funnel (2/2)
Levels 17-19 - Improved Voidwalker (3/3)Make your voidwalker all kinds fo buff
Level 20 - Fel Domination (1/1)
Levels 21-23 - Fel Stamina (3/3)
Level 24 - Fel Intellect (1/3)
Levels 25-26 - Master Summoner (2/2) The less mana you use summoning means the faster you can get out there and get experience/honor
Levels 27-29 - Unholy Power (3/5)
Level 30 - Demonic Sacrifice (1/1) This is down right amazing. There's so much you can do with it.
Levels 31-32 - Unholy Power (5/5)
Levels 33-34 - Fel Intellect (3/3)
Levels 35-39 - Master Demonologist (5/5)
Level 40 - Soul Link (1/1)
Levels 41-43 - Demonic Knowledge (3/3)
Level 44 - Demonic Resilience (1/3)
Levels 45-49 - Demonic Tactics (5/5)
Level 50 - Summon Felguard (1/1) Awesome pet

After 50 you can go for either affliction or destruction. Just depends if you like to nuke or DoT.

Warlock Talent Guide - Destruction

Destruction it just like the affliction tree just for a different type of spell. Destruction focuses on your high damage spells where affliction is about damage over time. Destruction is great if you want to kill a target in less than 10 seconds. Here's the build:

Levels 10-14 - Improved Shadowbolt (5/5)
Levels 15-19 - Bane (5/5) Shorter cast time for destruction spells
Level 20 - Shadowburn (1/1) Nice nuke
Levels 21-25 - Devastation (5/5)Higher crit rate is always good
Levels 26-27 - Destructive Reach (2/2) Longer casting range and less threat
Levels 28-29 - Improved Searing Pain (2/3)
Level 30 - Ruin (1/1)100% increased crit rate
Level 31 - Improved Searing Pain (3/3)
Levels 32-36 - Improved Immolate (5/5)
Levels 37-39 - Emberstone (3/5)
Level 40 - Conflagrate (1/1)
Levels 41-42 - Emberstone (5/5)
Levels 43-45 - Backlash (3/3)
Levels 46-50 - Shadow and Flame (5/5)
Level 51 - Shadowfury (1/1)

After 51 I would start putting points into demonology unless you don't like fighting with a pet then go for affliction for added damage.

It's Not All About The Talents...

The right talent build can really help you level and kick out that extra damage to make you stick out in a battleground but what about the end game? When you get to 70 do you want to just do battlegrounds? Or would you like to get in the good arena teams and the best raiding guild? You need to learn how to group efficiently, pvp roles, raiding roles, and the best gear pre-raiding so you can be ready to get into that awesome guild for the uber gear.
