Social Networking sites seem to be quite popular on the Internet today. In case you are not sure what a Social Networking site is then just think of sites such as My Space and Facebook. These particular sites started out being very popular with teenagers and students however, just recently, online marketers have realised the 'power' that these Social Networking sites can bring to their online business.

In a nutshell, social networking allows you to connect and share information with others who have the same interests by setting up a profile and Weblog. Sites such as these also allow you to share photographs and videos and make lots of friends on the way.

One of the pitfalls of social networking, as with other 'social' sites such as online dating websites, is that you can be contacted by those who may not be as sincere as they would have you believe. Some take great pleasure in setting up 'fake' profiles and causing 'havoc' with other members. This is why, in the case of dating sites, it is much better to join those that you have to pay for as opposed to the free ones. This way you can be sure that those members are serious about finding 'the one' and not just out to 'have fun' and play with your emotions. Paid memberships almost always keep the 'weirdo's' at bay.

So how can Social Networking help you with your online business? Basically, it puts you into contact with others who never knew you and your website existed. You could obtain business contacts, joint venture proposals, more buyers for your product and more members to your membership site. Social Networking can do wonders for you and your online business success but as previously stated, you really need to have a membership with a pay site as opposed to a free one as you can be sure that all of those that you contact and who contact you are serious about their online business.

One brand new Social Networking site that has just launched is 'Wowzza '. This website has been created for Online Marketers to not only promote their products and websites but to connect with other like-minded people and earn money whilst they do it. This Social Networking site is a pay site so you can be sure that those who have joined are really serious about their Online marketing success. One thing that really intrigued me with Wowzza was the claim that you can earn money without sponsoring anyone but you can earn a lot more if you do. I am always interested in new ideas and the concept of making money, so I decided to take a look at the website and find out a little more about it.

Once you become a member, you can create your own social and business profile including placing links to your website or websites. You can also create your own blog and group or join other peoples groups to give helpful information or to gain ideas from other marketers. Other members may invite you to join their groups or invite you to be a 'friend', creating a larger network for you and your online business presence. The larger your network, the more chance you have of building a bigger business because more and more people get to know about you and what you do.

Wowzza is not profit sharing or ad revenue sharing but what they call a 'Serious Matrix Compensation'. As Wowzza is a first in, first served membership, once you join, everyone who joins after you is placed under you in the matrix.

I decided to take the free tour at Wowzza to find out what all the fuss was about and a few things went around in my mind. What if I had been one of those marketers in the beginning, setting up a website with the new idea of e-books or an Adsense site - I would be rich today. What if I had had the idea of Facebook or Myspace or even eBay! I would be rich today!! As with all new ideas or expansions of new ideas, if you are there in the beginning and these new ideas are successful, you get to be one of the first to experience that success. What if this really does take off - what if this is really successful - am I in the right place at the right time? If I do not join now, I may regret it and if I do join and the whole thing is a complete flop, I will cancel my account.

Maybe this is too good to be true but I did not want to be left out in the cold in six months time wishing that I had joined in the beginning. So there was only one way of finding out and that was to join. So I became a member of Wowzza just to see how this worked and if I could earn anything from this new Social Networking site.

After 20 minutes of joining, I had made six 'friends'. After around 36 hours of joining, I had made 46 friends, had 90 profile views, had been invited to join two groups, set up my own group which has three members including myself, had two sign-ups on my list at Free PLR and a few visits to my website.

I must state here that I have never joined a Social Networking site before so all of this is new to me. I am not sure if these 'statistics' are normal or not but Wowzza has certainly caused a big 'wow' in my eyes. I would recommend that if you want to meet new people, gain a few business contacts, get traffic to your website and even have a few more subscribers, you should at least take a look at Wowzza for yourself.

As Wowzza is a completely new Social Networking site, changes are constantly being made to allow for a much easier experience on site for members.

One link that I noticed a couple of days ago that had changed was the 'Genealogy' link. This has now been changed to 'Company Growth' giving details of the 'power line' - members that have joined after you.

Another cool feature that has just been introduced is the 'email friends' link. You can now send an email to all of your Wowzza friends telling them about your online business, offering help, giving hints and advice or just to introduce yourself. Obviously you should use this feature wisely else you could be caught for spamming. You must also be prepared to receive e-mails from your friends so if you have 200 of them - expect to receive 200 emails possibly once a week. Although this may sound like a 'downside' to Wowzza, there could be opportunities contained within these emails that you would otherwise not have known about. Obviously this works both ways, you could send an email out to a list of 200 friends informing them of your online business. At Wowzza, you have your own list.

As Wowzza grows, then so does its features, ideas and earning potential.

There are a great bunch of people on board, most of which want to get to know you as a person as opposed to sending you links to their websites or affiliate sites to make a sale. There is a great 'buzz' on site with members learning how to use the program to their greatest benefit, helping others out, setting up groups and generally wondering how all of this will pan out in the end.
