Wolfberry Power Snacks

These chewy, tart berries have a hunger-curbing edge over other fruit: 18 amino acids, which make them a surprising source of protein, says chef Sarah Krieger, R.D., spokeswoman in St. Petersburg, Florida, for the American Dietetic Association. (They also have more beta-carotene than carrots.) Snack on them mid-afternoon to stay satisfied until dinner. The calorie cost? Only 35 per tablespoon.
Here are a few ideas for in-between meal snacks.

Discovery of the Ultimate Superfood: How the Ningxia Wolfberry And 4 Other Foods Help Combat Heart Disease, Cancer, Chronic Fatigue, Depression, Diabetes And More

This book is highly motivating when it comes to the powerfulness of the NingXia Wolfberry. Dr. Young, Dr. Lawrence and Marc Schreuder, PhD. dissect this berry very well. This book has been able to help me in my endeavors as a nutritional educator to understand the exact breakdown of the wolfberry and the breakdown of other vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Then to compare them beside each other just gives a whole new light on the term "ultimate superfood". I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone looking for understanding on the breakdown of the wolfberry in comparison to other essential nutrients.

Low Calorie Natural Sweetener Delights

Looking for a sweetener you can feel good about? Tantalize your sweet tooth with Blue Agave or Stevia extract.

Blue Agave is a fabulous all natural sweetener for your baking needs. It is pressed from the heart of the blue agave cactus. Blue Agave has a glycemic index of 11 (e.g. table sugar is 146) and is about 50 percent sweeter than sugar; when consumed it raises the blood sugar level slowly with no dramatic increases. Best of all, it tastes delicious and is less expensive than maple syrup.

Stevia Extract is a non-sugar liquid extract from the leaf of the plant. It is thirty times sweeter than sugar and has a glycemic index of zero, which will not raise the blood sugar levels at all.
