Wolfberry Power Snacks
These chewy, tart berries have a hunger-curbing edge over other fruit: 18 amino acids, which make them a surprising source of protein, says chef Sarah Krieger, R.D., spokeswoman in St. Petersburg, Florida, for the American Dietetic Association. (They also have more beta-carotene than carrots.) Snack on them mid-afternoon to stay satisfied until dinner. The calorie cost? Only 35 per tablespoon. Here are a few ideas for in-between meal snacks.

Low Calorie Natural Sweetener Delights
Looking for a sweetener you can feel good about? Tantalize your sweet tooth with Blue Agave or Stevia extract.Blue Agave is a fabulous all natural sweetener for your baking needs. It is pressed from the heart of the blue agave cactus. Blue Agave has a glycemic index of 11 (e.g. table sugar is 146) and is about 50 percent sweeter than sugar; when consumed it raises the blood sugar level slowly with no dramatic increases. Best of all, it tastes delicious and is less expensive than maple syrup.
Stevia Extract is a non-sugar liquid extract from the leaf of the plant. It is thirty times sweeter than sugar and has a glycemic index of zero, which will not raise the blood sugar levels at all.
