Our WigJig University wire-working technique for this lens is how to make and use a wrapped loop. Most of you will find this technique to be rather basic. I believe that it is one of the most important skills in the craft of wire-working. I use this technique when making ear wires, when making a bead dangle like the cobalt blue and gold bead dangle shown on the ear cuff above, and I use a modification to this technique to make the wrapped bead link I use in making necklace and bracelet chain. I believe that this technique is important because it makes the loop permanent. This loop will pass what I call the "child test" that I apply to any jewelry that I consider selling -- the child test is will this piece hold up to having a young child grab the piece out of curiosity and give it a tug.
