What is the most important step in writing a book? Preparation.When you are ready to write a book you need to prepare yourself. Professional athletes or actors will tell you their best performances come with preparation.
The most important muscle you need to prepare when writing a book is the one that is always working -- 24/7 -- processing, solving and planning. It is your mind.
Preparing Your Mindset
These techniques will help you prepare your mind when you are ready to write a book.Formulate questions that need to be answered.
Questions are great triggers for your brain to begin thinking because the brain tackles the understanding of the world through questions. Our brains think in questions and answers.
So ask yourself:
- Why am I writing a book?
- What do I hope to accomplish when my book is published?
- What kind of book will be helpful to my target audience>
Put your mind in the right framework or mindset. Instruct your mind to act within.
As an example, it is like an actor reading his lines by pretending to be a certain character. Now everything the actor does is from the perspective of the character.
- You must create the mindset of a winner. Tell your brain you are a winner and your brain will respond.
- Tell your mind you are creating a legacy and as you move forward out of procrastination, you start to build momentum.
